King Kamala 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2007 Alright, I may get tarred and feathered for this but I think Joe Piscopo has to be one of the most underrated castmembers in SNL history. They played quite a few Murphy/Piscopo era episodes on Classic SNL cand I was pleasently surpised at how talented he was. He had a fairly wide range of impressions, he could play a good straight man, etc. IMO, he was basically the glue of that era like Dan Akroyd in the original cast and Phil Hartman in the late 80s/early 90s, you could stick him almost in any role and it'd stick. Now I'm not saying he's as good as Akroyd or Hartman, but considering my only previous impression of him was pretty much the mildly annoying Paule Hermann "I'm From Jersey" schtick, I was mighty impressed. I think the biggest problems with his post SNL career is 1. He seems to be legit batshit insane. 2. He beat the "I'm From Jersey" and Sinatra schtick into the ground (And in the rare moments I see him make an appearence, seems to still be doing so). and most important, 3. He didn't really make any good movies post-SNL (With the exception of the underrated, Johnny Dangerously)

King Kamala 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2007 Tim Meadows. He stole Mean Girls and should get more love for it Tim Meadows I've rarely ever found him unfunny. I even liked him when I stumbled while flipping through the TV channels when he appeared as a judge on some crappy TV Land reality show called "America's Funniest Mom" The skit he did with Will Ferrell and one of the females in the cast at the time (Ana Gasteyer? Molly Shannon) where he played Dr. Poop was one of my favorite SNL skits of all time.
In Credible 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2007 I don't think he's had much to work with as far as scripts, but I think Eddie Griffin is very underrated. If you watch some of his comedy specials like Dysfunktional Family, he is almost on the level of 80's Eddie Murphy for standup. very funny guy.

Deuce Bigelow, well Eddie tried to make something good out of that. I gotta pick Orlando Jones as an underrated. They guy is a pretty good actor and he was especially funny in The Replacements. Too bad he tends to pick bad shows and movies to star in.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2007 Yeah, i thought Undercover Brother was underrated and kind of overlooked by the masses.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2007 Dave Chappelle and Neil Patrick Harris make that movie...not to take away from Eddie Griffin and all, but those guys really make that movie.
