They've only been around since the mid-90s and have always been consistent about touring/new music...are you thinking of something else?

There are plenty of oldies on the Bonnaroo lineup (Ralph Stanley, Richard Thompson, Junior, Mavis Staples) but Spearhead is definitly not one of them.

After a few emails it now looks like business as usual...music will start Thurs evening & go thru the night, but no headliner.

Fri: Tool

Sat: Police

Sun: Widespread Panic

The White Stripes will probably preheadline for Panic. I will probably leave right after them.

I dont think MMJ will be added this year. They're going to take a deserved break from touring & record a new cd.

Hopefully the new cd will do fairly well...and MMJ headlines a night in 2008.

Yeah. They deserve a headlining spot at 'roo. I've seen them four times now, each time it's been fantastic.

No I just haven't heard anything about them since like 98-99.

There is going to be an air conditioned jazz tent designed to look like an NYC club. Performing therein will be Lou Donaldson, Doctor Lonnie Smith, Jacky Terrasson, Stefon Harris, Don Bryon, Ravi Coltrane, and Robert Glasper. It will have table seating, bar service, panel discussions, and photos/album artwork on display.
