Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted February 15, 2007 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PVOSmxiGWI It had me at "Shame on a Nigga." "Marriage is like an unfunny version of 'Everybody Loves Raymond.' Except it doesn't last 22 minutes, it lasts forever." plus Jay Baruchel, Paul Rudd, Jason Segal, etc. I can't wait.

Henry Spencer 0 Report post Posted February 16, 2007 Paul Rudd went to my high school. That's all I really have to add. I liked Freaks & Geeks, but I doubt I'll end up seeing this for whatever reason.
Craig Th 0 Report post Posted February 16, 2007 Awesome. Whatever Apatow does from now on, Seth will be right there. Wow, a lot of people are in this movie. I'm pumped.
Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted February 16, 2007 Seth actually wrote an upcoming film called "Super Bad" that stars Michael Cera. I'm excited for that, too.
The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted February 16, 2007 I have to confess to not finding Paul Rudd funny from what I've seen (Anchorman, 40-Year-Old Virgin). Some of the lines he's given are brilliant but I find he just can't handle them. Rogen on the other hand, I really like. This thread got the heart treatment though, so the movie has to be great. Craig Th 0 Report post Posted February 16, 2007 From Freaks and Geeks, Rogen is the last person I thought who would have his own movie. On the first few episodes he wasn't very good, at all.
Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted February 16, 2007 He was a lot better in Undeclared.

King Kamala 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2007 I love love almost everything Judd Apatow's been involved with. The only exceptions are Heavyweights and Celtic Pride (he wrote and directed both), everything else from then on has been stellar. And this should be no exception. I'm glad to see Seth Rogan finally getting a lead role. Looking at Apatow's IMDB profile, I didn't realize he wrote for The Critic. He wrote one of my favorite episodes (Frankie and Ellie Get Lost). This is going to be one of the two or three movies a year I see on opening day.
Mik 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2007 This looks incredibly funny. I can't wait.

Stiller is gold in that movie. I just hope Apatow's next movie isn't a romantic comedy. Yes, 40 was a different type of RC and KU seems to be different to, but they are still romantic comedies. MDH257 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2007 He didn't direct Celtic Pride either.
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2007 Ah guess I didn't look closely enough. Either way- he was involved in Celtic Pride, which is the one undeniable turkey he's been involved. I could see someone building an argument for Heavyweights being a good guilty pleasure but Celtic Pride...ugh! I can't wait till Walk Hard, the next movie Apatow's writing. It's a spoof music biopics (Walk The Line, Ray) called Walk Hard starring John C. Reiley. I'm there when that opens.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2007 Apatows next movie, unless I'm mistaken is starring Anna Farris and it's a comedy about a girl who eats a batch of her roomates pot brownies and trips out.
Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2007 Walk Hard, yes! John C. Reilly and Jenna Fischer.
strummer 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2007 Apatow is also doing a movie with Adam Sandler about a Jewish undercover agent becoming a hair dresser. Robert Smigel is a co-writer (with Judd and Sandler) Sandler and Judd were roommates in NYC the mid-late 80s and lived on the same street as Ben Stiller, David Spade and Rob Schneider
