razazteca Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 How much did Ghost Rider cost to make?
Pegasus Kid Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 A few sources around the net have stated 75 million. Wiki says that was the original budget for the movie though. Either way it seems like a pretty good estimate considering the actors involved and the special effects necessary to make the movie happen. It should probably break even through domestic sales as word of mouth has been very poor and you'd figure that it'll take a massive drop in week 2.
Guest Smues Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 Man I must be really really out of the loop. I've never even heard of 3 of the top 5 this week. (Bridge to Terabithia, music & lyrics, and the tyler perry movie)
Gary Floyd Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 I remember seeing that GR was going to compete with a Tyler Perry movie this week, making me actually hope that thr TP movie did better. Well, my hopes are crushed.
Special K Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 Tyler Perry's Daddy's Little Girls That's just the oddest movie name ever, it's so onomatopoeia.
bob_barron Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 I went to see Breach today, and even though it was on two screens, it kept selling out. Good movie
Timmy8271 Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 I'm just glad Music and Lyrics isn't number 1.
razazteca Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 I wonder how many more movies Drew Berrymore will do about 80's music.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 I wonder how many more movies Drew Berrymore will do about 80's music. Not directly about music, but Donnie Darko was set in the 80's and she was the teacher. Next week should be interesting. Reno 911, #23 and the Astronaut Famer.
Special K Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 Reno 911 won't make shit. I like the show, and the movie's probably funny, but it won't make anything. Astronaut farmer is the most laughable concept for a movie I've ever seen, like ever. Fucking ridiculous, It'll probably make a mint. And Ghost Rider costr 120m according to iMDB.
4hartthreat Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 I'm disappointed in Breach's 6th place finish. Saw the movie today and it was really good. Chris Cooper gives a fantastic performance in this. I hope good word of mouth gets more people to go see it.
