ZGangsta 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2007 I'm glad 300 is doing well because if this movie makes insane bank (which it looks like it's doing for a rated R movie) then the studio is likely to give Snyder carte blanche for Watchmen, and not meddle in making it a typical PG13 superhero movie. And after reading this, it looks like Snyder has his head on straight about Watchmen I love that he says "I think that the appetite for me is to make a movie that feel's more like Taxi Driver than like Fantastic Four." Are 300 and Watchmen similar stories, though? He got away with 300 because the ads promise big action, and I'd still be afraid the studio would want him to go a similar route with Watchmen. The special on The History Channel was practically an informercial for the film. They do that for every film that comes out with historical revelance. Where they compare the film and actual history. I remember they did one on Pearl Harbor and ripped on how sucky the romance part of the film was so I am starting to doubt that the studios are paying them to do it.
