alfdogg Posted April 15, 2007 Author Report Posted April 15, 2007 The Sixers may have just fucked our playoff chances, getting blown out by the Magic a week after beating us. We're now two games out of eighth again.
alfdogg Posted April 15, 2007 Author Report Posted April 15, 2007 The Suns alternate uni's are the best. I own a Stoudemire one. I own this jersey too, btw. I'm not a big fan of the Warriors alternates, either, but I've got nothing bad to say about their other jerseys. And there's only room for one blue & gold team in the NBA. Philly and NO/OK officially eliminated from playoff contention. Which means I don't have to type NO/OK anymore.
Guest Eagle Man Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 I think they're going to exercise that option for a third year in Oklahoma City when Sternie realizes that the city is a blighted warzone.
Just John Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 People actually like the Suns 3rd unis? The white and purple ones aren't bad, but the orange PHX? Woof. Anyway, it's nice to see some of the late season games mean something in the NBA. 2 games to go and there's still 3 spots up for grabs and 2 or 3 more places where seeding or HC can change. More good news is the Rockets found some offense against the Hornets (who always give us trouble for some reason) last night and are this close to getting HC in the first round. Problem is, the last 2 are against Phoenix and Utah themselves, so it's not quite a lock and I'd rather not have to go balls out to beat Utah before the playoffs.
Guest Queen Leelee Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 I don't wear sports uniforms since I'm older than 13, but the Suns' 3rd jerseys are tight. I love them.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 Will the Wizards complain the Bulls ran up the score on them too?
Bored Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 Sooo Warriors fighting to get into the payoffs for the first time in 13 years and their game today isn't even televisied locally. Wonderful.
Kurt Angle Mark Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 We officially have the worst ejection ever Tim Duncan for laughing on the bench
2GOLD Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 We officially have the worst ejection ever Tim Duncan for laughing on the bench HOW DARE YOU NOT INCLUDE ME IN THE JOKE, DUNCAN! YOU'RE OUTTA HERE! The NBA: Knock Knock jokes are NOT allowed!
Kurt Angle Mark Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 Clippers lose to Kings, now one game out. Now they must beat Suns and Mavs have to beat Warriors for them to have a shot
Brett Favre Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 Will the Wizards complain the Bulls ran up the score on them too? You don't understand the concept of running up the score.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 Running up the score is when a team continues to be hellbent on scoring points when the game is well beyond reach for the other team. The Bulls had a 30 or so point lead entering the 4th quarter, and they continued to score from long range. If the Knicks can cry about it, so can the Wiz.
Kurt Angle Mark Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 Joey Crawford needs to retire or be fired "He looked at me and said, `Do you want to fight? Do you want to fight?''' Duncan said. "If he wants to fight, we can fight. I don't have any problem with him, but we can do it if he wants to. I have no reason why in the middle of a game he would yell at me, `Do you want to fight?''' -Tim Duncan
alfdogg Posted April 16, 2007 Author Report Posted April 16, 2007 The Pacers named their 40th anniversary team today, as voted on by the fans. If we lose our last two games and Philly and Sacramento each win their last two, we'd have the tenth-best odds in the lottery, which would put us in position to keep our first-round pick from the Hawks. Of course, that's who we play next, and they're doing a pretty egregorious tankjob of their own, so it's unlikely.
alfdogg Posted April 16, 2007 Author Report Posted April 16, 2007 Lakers clinch with their win over Seattle, leaving only the Warriors and Clippers fighting over the last available spot.
Guest Eagle Man Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 they're doing a pretty egregorious tankjob of their own, so it's unlikely. Egregorious? Is that like egregious and gregarious?
Guest Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 Smush did not start last night. I don't think he's going to start for this team ever again.
Guest Vitamin X Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 If Sasha Vujacic or even Farmar started in his place, that would be significant progress. Smush is good coming off the bench for a quick offensive spark, but he's terrible in the starting 5.
Guest Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 Yeah, Farmar started. He's ready for it, he played very well. We could use his ball distribution skills against the Suns.
Guest Eagle Man Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 Who holds the tiebreaker if the Lakers and Warriors tie?
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 Considering Lakers swept Golden State in the season, the Lakers.
Just John Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 Rockets clinch HC in the first round after shooting it out with the Suns and getting the first win over Phoenix in forever. T-Mac and Yao filled up the stat sheet with a combined 73/20/10. Good thing we don't even have to worry about trying against Utah on Wednesday to give them a head start on scouting us for the playoffs. I think Houston's making it to the second round this year.
Ripper Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 I am rooting for the Warriors HARD to get that last spot.
Guest Eagle Man Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 Warriors-Mavericks and Warriors-Suns could both be fun. Mathematically, Cleveland can still finish a game ahead of Chicago. I have a bad feeling they might.
Ripper Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 Fuck fun, I don't want the Suns to play the Warriors. I need the Lakers to keep winning, the Warriors to keep winning and the Clippers to lose. If the Suns win tonight and Dallas loses (which I have a good feeling they will) things are looking up. I also need Camby to be nice and fresh for that matchup against the Spurs. Interesting series coming up. All that cute fit in crap is about to be out the window. One of the great competitors ever is back in the playoffs against the spurs, who, well...have sucky perimeter defense....lets just leave it at that.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 Warriors-Mavericks and Warriors-Suns could both be fun. Mathematically, Cleveland can still finish a game ahead of Chicago. I have a bad feeling they might. Gee really? When the Bulls have a playoff bound Nets and Cavaliers has the juggernauts in Philadelphia and Milwaukee? edit: The sad thing is Bulls are in a lose-lose. If they play the Nets relaxed (as not to give away their gameplan for the playoffs), they run the risk of losing and falling to the #5 seed, but if they play them hard, the Nets know what to look for in the playoffs.
Guest Eagle Man Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 We struggle with the Nets more than any team should. Let's just have Tyrus Thomas bust Kidd's kneecap. Problem solved. EDIT: Oh, I didn't even check to see that the Cavaliers get to clean up on the 76ers and Bucks. Well, that's just great. Let's just hope they'll tank one of two, then.
