So, i got kicked out of a gig last night

Recommended Posts

I was gonna post this last night, but i was too drunk so its probably a good thing that i didnt.

So, i went to see Clutch last night (w00t) and i was really excited and had a few (too many) drinks.

Third song in, they play "Mob goes wild", one of my favourite Clutch songs so i threw my bag (with my camera, ipod and t-shirt) to my mate John and legged it to the front of the arena followed by my mates Tom and Mark. Both of which, boosted me up so i could crowd surf over, a tradition of our gig going.

So i get over the barrior and was caught by one of the security guards. An act i thanked him for and walked down the side of the stage so i could get back to my mates. On my way across the stage, i said thank you to another bouncer and tapped him in a sign of graditude. Without warning, he grabed my right arm and gagged me with it and yanked my left arm behind my back almost breaking it. With that, he draged me brutialy out of the arena and threw me out.

I went back round to the front to explain my situation to the guard on the door who told me i could not get back in cause i must have been thrown out for a reason (an untrue fact).

So i went next door (a pub) and had a few drinks on my own and with that, i waited outside the front door waiting for my mates to come out so i could get my back back.

By this time im really drunk and i end up ringing one of my ex's Sarah (see pictures of yourself if you want to to know what she looks like). I was really angry and was swearing and shouting a lot down the phone and even said the N word. Im not proud of it and i dont usually do it.

So the gig ends and i see the bouncer that caught me, i explained my situation in a calm matter (suprising considering i was wasted). He told me that i was thrown out by the other bouncer (who would not come out to speak to me and wouldnt give me his details so i could complain) for placing my hands on him. Fair enough, i shouldn't have done so, but a warning would have surficed.

I wake up this morning and my arm aches and i have a sore throat. Its total bullshit and im going down to the box office today to lodge a complaint against the way i was treated. It's not on and was totally uncalled for.

Fuck that bouncer, fuck him up his stupid ass.

Thoughts?

Your only mistake was not screaming "The Smart Marks dot com will hear of this!!!" as you were carried out.

Believe me i tried, but i was being gagged.

As for the N word debate, i wasn't going to put that part into the story but thought i should as it shows how truly fucking mad i was. And believe me, i would never use that word, but under the circumstances i was in (drunk and mad), it seemed like a good idea. It wasn't.

No, they say "Pooh and Tigger."

Do you have a pejorative for all the West Indian blacks? What's a wog? Isn't that a Mediterranean immigrant?

eh it's not like you said it directly to anyway...what was you ex's reaction to the use of the word?

is Nigger even an oft used term in England?

Racists use it quite a lot.

My ex's reaction was not good, she couldnt believe i used the word as its quite uncharactristic of me.

What if he had called him a paki? Would that have been worse?

Well i didnt aim it at anyone, i just said the word. But i can see your point. Im not sure though, there both as bad as each other.

That's more common, but it's short for Pakistani, so may not have applied. Obviously correct application of slurs is the primary issue.

"Not Matthew...Smatthew."

"What does the S stand for? No no wait, I got it...smooth Matthew."

"...no."
