2007 NHL STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS - ROUND THREE

I have a hard time calling Buffalo fans bandwagoners when there really hasn't been a wagon to jump on.

No, there's a difference.

Buffalo fans are loyal to death to their teams. Buffalo fans will NEVER stop being fans of their teams.

But we love to bitch. We bitch about EVERYTHING. Because of our history, when anything goes wrong, we expect it to be the beginning of the end.

It was the same thing with the Red Sox prior to 04.

Once the team tastes success, the bandwagon hitches up and you have people jumping on.

Hasek played well. The rest of the team...well, if they play like that the entire series, they'll be lucky to get to a game 6.

the red wings know what they're doing. if anaheim continues that pace they'll be worn out like the sharks by game 6. detroit will slowly wear them down. and i'm still not convinced that anaheim has the offensive prowess to do too much damage. they got a lot of shots because they were always on the powerplay. most of which were horrible calls, too.

and why did leena retire? is this part of her buffalo lsot meltdown? and who speaks in terms of "retirement" in regard to a message board?

People may be jumping on the Buffalo bandwagon but there are diehard Sabre fans like myself who don't even live anywhere near Buffalo.

I've heard the "bandwagon" remark tons of times but then my friends who have known I've been a Sabres fan for years shut them up

YES! YES! FUCKING BRIERE! YES!

Ok, now we need to win this shit!

Seriously, once everyone was over there at the wall fighting for the puck, I just had a feeling that the Sabres would manage to score somehow.

I can't believe how aggressive Ottawa was towards the end of the third with a man down, and the empty-net. Even more so with this penalty kill....Seems to work though, Ottawa's now killed off all seven penalties tonight.

I was already tired. If Ottawa doesn't fucking win this....

MacLean just pointed out an interesting stat: Every year that ends in 7 since the inception of the NHL, the mug was won by either Detroit or a Canadian team.

And now Buffalo fans have a reason to go nuts.

Don't like Corvo that much, but when his shot hits the net (rare), it's a great shot.

God, I fucking give up.

This was our last chance for a while too, with Briere and Drury probably leaving in the offseason.

Maybe not Drury, but I'll be shocked if Briere is a Sabre next season.

Really? Most Sabres fans I know have said they anticipate Drury staying....

Grrrrr. Had to set the hockey game to record again tonight. Watched all of regulation, and then realizing I'd only set the timer to extend 90 minutes, figured I'd better record some more in case the game went long. While I do that, I accidentally end up switching to one of the ESPN networks and see Barry Melrose with a "Senators 4 Sabres 3" in front of him. So I watched 90 minutes and then spoiled the outcome of overtime.

Oh well, at least the Senators look to be moving by Buffalo to the Stanley Cup Finals. I don't mind so much spoiling the outcome of one game in the conference finals, knowing there's likely a whole nother series to look forward to. Go Ottawa!

It is a 7 game series even if the series is heading to Ottawa. It ain't over yet folks, calm down. And I could care less about the Eastern Conference

Don't look at me. I know it's a seven-game series.

Getzlaf just LOOKS like a guy I would want to punch in the face.

Eh period, Wings still need to skate faster

Hasek kept us close in that period with some key saves, the goal wasn't his fault, defense just fell alsleep there.

It amazes me that the Wings are around at this point, especially considering that they haven't put together two perfect or even great games in a row all postseason.

Just goes to show how good they really are, and it makes me wonder how good they would be with all parts working at the same time. Scary.

What a huge goal by Lidstrom there, hopefully the wings can continue the momentum going into the third.

And thank you Versus for having missed the penalty that McDonald got.....and I hate whenever the wings fan stand that you can't see the bottom half of the ice, not that I have a problem with fans excited, I'm just saying they need a better camera location
