packwingfn 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2007 Like Angle said: if you look at the replay, Nidermayers hit was legal, it was Prongers shot that was cheap. Good win today. Let's win Game 4 now, none of this back & forth stuff anymore. And Hasek is clearly the MVP of our team this postseason.

packwingfn 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2007 do you watch the games? the mvp is lidstrom. totally. Well of course I watch the games and Lidstrom HAS played real well, and made some key plays (the save he made in game 6 against the Sharks), but Hasek has allowed 2 or less goals in the majority of the games during the postseason. He allowed 3 in games 3 & 4 in Calgary and 4 in Game 2 against Anaheim. Otherwise, he's been solid. As much as I love Lidstrom, I still give the MVP to Hasek right now. Red Baron 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2007 Lindstrom easily is the best from the Wings. I still see Neidermeyer still getting the suspension, since he came in with the intent to injure.

AntiLeaf33 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2007 I'm praying for an Ottawa/Detroit finals. That way the cup is either coming back to Canada, or Dan Cleary will be the first Newfie to win the cup

I still see Neidermeyer still getting the suspension, since he came in with the intent to injure. no he didn't. he came to finish a check. his check was totally clean. pronger was the one intending to injure. smashing one's face into the glass demonstrates this. Zetterberg is God 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2007 That was exactly the kind of game the Wings needed. As for MVP talk, I'd give it to Lidstrom but Hasek is making a strong case for himself.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2007 Hasek gives up a lot of rebounds but the Ducks aren't capitalizing on them. I thought I would see more Wings fans at the game yesterday. Most of the chants at the game were directed at the refs.
Zetterberg is God 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2007 Anaheim Ducks defenceman Chris Pronger has been suspended for one game by the National Hockey League. Pronger received the suspension after Detroit forward Tomas Holmstrom was drilled into the boards Tuesday night in the Red Wings' 5-0 victory in Game 3 of the Western Conference Final. Holmstrom was cut after getting hit into the glass by Pronger and Anaheim forward Rob Niedermayer on the play in question. The Wings really need to take advantage of this. CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2007 I should have known. Ottawa was overdue for a bad game in the playoffs. But, I look at what happened last year, and I'm still quite confident.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2007 WHOOOOOO! And suddenly, everyone comes alive. Nice to get some production from the other lines, especially Schaefer finally getting a goal in the playoffs.
CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2007 The fuck? I left dinner with my family and it was 3-0 Sabres. I get home and it's 3-2? Fill me in, Double C.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2007 Sabres played like shit for the last half of the game. The Sens got two goals late in the second, and had numerous chances in the third. The Sabres still aren't playing well enough to win this series. Ottawa closes it out in 5 (for symmetry).
Zetterberg is God 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 Well, this game is about done. Early or not, Detroit's not playing even close to well enough to come back. Plus it just makes so much sense that the Ducks are missing their best player so of course they come out and dominate.
packwingfn 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 This has been one crazy game so far. I hope the Wings can come back, I can see it going into overtime ::knock on wood::

packwingfn 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 I'll admit, very bad penalty call against the Ducks but hey the Wings took advantage of it. Cleary's 2nd goal? Hell yeah! and Bertuzzi with another point? Yay
packwingfn 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 And Filpuppa showing his speed there, but a nice save by Giggy

After the first though, who could have thought this would happen. Going into the third on the PP is huge and they need to pot one.
packwingfn 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 After tonight, I need a Dan Cleary jersey. My brother has been planning to get me another Red Wings jersey for my birthday. What players do you recommend I get? (I already have Yzerman & Datstyuk) I would like someone who plans on being with the team for a few years because I have an Osgood Islanders Jersey (because I was so mad he left the Wings) that is useless right now but at least he's back a Wing

packwingfn 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 Despite the Wings losing...Was that the best 10 minutes of hockey or what? I really like this Cleary-Bertuzzi-Lang line.
Zetterberg is God 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 Jesus fucking Christ, two 5 on 3's and NOTHING. This was their best chance to pretty much end this series with Pronger gone and they fucked it up. I don't care if they came back, they didn't win despite many chances to do so. A rested Pronger for game five plus the momentum to boot. Don't let them take game five boys or it is over. packwingfn 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 Just like the last 2 series, It really comes down to Game 5 on home ice. They've done it before already I have faith in this team this year. Don't let me down boys
Darthtiki 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 Boy did the Ducks need that one. Giggy was on it tonight save for the three. I forsee this going 7 though.

If the Wings win the Cup, he'll probably leave again. Or get a Lidstrom jersey.
