Star Ocean 3 Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Well. UMWOOOOOOHOOOOOOO! I guess I'll go to game 1. Take me with you. Take me. NOW.
Annabelle Posted May 23, 2007 Author Report Posted May 23, 2007 for the sake of my draft, the finals better be very low scoring. lets go giguere and emery! i could care less who wins. the wings will be back next year. totally. they need one strong defenseman. thats really the only missing piece. they can't depend on chelios like that. he's great and all, but 30+ minutes? markov must have been hurt, too. he didn't play much. schneider was the deciding factor. he helped so much with puck possession, playmaking, and positioning. too bad, really.
Star Ocean 3 Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Oh this calls for a preview. The real Ducks preview. It was a script all along, building to this. Every story needs a resolution.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Dude, second hand tickets will probably start more than $100. Last time the Ducks went to the Finals, my dad paid $120 per ticket to a scalper.
Star Ocean 3 Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Yeah, I already knew I can't go because I'm saving money. I'll be content with just standing outside the arena during the game.
Guest Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 I shudder to think just how bad the ice is going to be for the finals in Anaheim. It's been cool for the last few days. Wait until it actually gets hot again.
Guest Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 It just hit me. This really sucks dick. I mean, what if these dickholes win? This is going to destroy me. Sens or bust. I can't see this arena full of people that do not give a shit about hockey or more importantly, their team, get to see their boys lift the Cup. It just wouldn't be fair.
LaParkaMarka Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 I think it would be nice for Selanne to win a cup after the insane season he had, but the rest of the Ducks have either won before or are jerks. Thus I gotta cheer for the Sens.
Star Ocean 3 Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Giguere's not a jerk. He's a wonderful man. This is how you develop followings in non-traditional cities. Fans are earned. "Fair" is insulting.
Guest George's Box Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Trained monkeys can fill up the seats for a championship game, so don't pat yourselves on the backs too much, Anaheim. (Though that's more than New Jersey can do.) Sens in however many it takes to give Canada the Stanley Cup.
Slayer Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Trained monkeys can fill up the seats for a championship game Unless you're Carolina, in which case the monkeys get comped tickets

(Though that's more than New Jersey can do.) Sens in however many it takes to give Canada the Stanley Cup. The Ducks said they sold out 22 of their last home games. According to ESPN, we're 17th in the league in attendance. The Honda Center was filled to 95% capacity. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/attendance?s...t&year=2007
the max Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 The Ducks should do like they did in D2 and have cardboard stand-ins in the crowd, since all of the games will be starting at 5 PT. WTG. Also, we get to wait six days so NBC can get their game on a saturday (6-2). Hope there isn't a prerace horse show to cover on 6-2!

treble Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 At least they aren't afternoon games, so the horse races shouldn't do anything to the hockey coverage.
CanadianChris Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 At least they aren't afternoon games, so the horse races shouldn't do anything to the hockey coverage. I'm confident NBC will find a way.
Guest George's Box Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 Have we learned nothing from The Heidi Game?
Mike wanna be Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 Dude, second hand tickets will probably start more than $100. Last time the Ducks went to the Finals, my dad paid $120 per ticket to a scalper. My cousin spent $150 to go to game 2 of Sens/Sabres. $120 for the Finals is a steal (just think of how much the Sens fans will pay for theirs)
CanadianChris Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 Standing room tickets are $130. The cheapest seats in the place (which I got) are around $175.
