dubq 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2007 I picked up their EP when I was in Tokyo back in November. Then about a few months later it came out over here. Just went to their show here in Toronto last night and thought they were really good live. They really remind me of the Cramps, which is a good thing. Anyone else? Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2007 I only know them from the (shitty) Chris Cunningham video where Samantha Morton's head is all fucked up like the people in Jacob's Ladder while a facehugger shoots out of her vag.
Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2007 I think I'll stick with The Cramps.
dubq 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2007 The Cramps are great, but there's nothing wrong with trying out new bands that were influenced by them.
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2007 I've generally found that there is.
dubq 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2007 Well yeah, generally. But this is probably one of the better ones out there.
Sly 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2007 Never heard of them, but will give them a search right quick. Edit - Found them on MySpace and gave them a listen. They have a nice, basic sound, but I can see why people wouldn't be digging on them.
dubq 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2007 Really? This is wierd. Usually I'm the overly critical type for bands like this.. I guess it's because I was at a live show and they just had a good energy about them. Or maybe I'm broken? Too much Guinness? Nah, can't be that!
Giuseppe Zangara 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2007 Why do I keep thinking this is a thread about the Hellacopters?
mfn 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2007 I dig em. Crazy live gigs.
Garth 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2007 The one thing that sticks out in my mind about The Horrors is the lead singer getting drunk, breaking down to an NME reporter on a plane flight that the band was crap and people only liked them because of their hair. Murmuring Beast 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2007 They are surprisingly old. I thought they were all about 14.
