Hawk 34 Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 If they kept Regal as GM/authority figure, would they really have a use for Coach anymore? Would anyone really miss him?
CheesalaIsGood Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 Cena has the crowd chanting. This is going over very well. He's not over. He wins all the time and gets boo'd. What are you talking about? Dude, kids and women like the guy. In fact they like him a lot. Sure it is also a fact that there are more smarks than there used to be but the guy is over. Even when he is being a total tard.
Mike wanna be Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 They re-play his entrance music, even though he never left the ring. Classy.

He was being a smartass basically mocking those of us that don't like Cena and bitch about him.
CheesalaIsGood Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 Regal makes a good authority figure. This could be a good way to slowly put him back into peoples minds before giving him a wrestling push. The slow burn is almost always the way to go. If that is what they are doing.
ChrisMWaters Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 Is it me or is there a weird echo tonight?
Mr. S£im Citrus Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 I actually like the "beat the clock" concept, but they need to switch it up and actually have one of the contestants lose once in a while...
Hawk 34 Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 Alright. Jeff for Orton. I'll say... Sandman for Booker. Venis for Kennedy. Snitsky for Lashley.

Perhaps, but with Cena there seems to be more than one truth about how over he is. Hawk is right on in that promo he cut wasn't very good and he deserves to get shit for it. But let's face it, some people like that... even if it's crap.
ChrisMWaters Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 I actually like the "beat the clock" concept, but they need to switch it up and actually have one of the contestants lose once in a while... I think that they did that once during the qualifying for the Elimination Chamber one year. I'm sure one Beat The Clock challenges had that happen.
CheesalaIsGood Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 I actually like the "beat the clock" concept, but they need to switch it up and actually have one of the contestants lose once in a while... Agreed. Lashley could afford a good screw-job as long as he keeps harping on never having lost the ECW belt.
Mecca Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 I'm just sick of him.......I always thought long reigning champions were generally suppose to be the heel being chased by the face.
fazzle Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 for the record, I called Jeff vs. Orton before it started. Rest of my picks: Booker vs. Sandman Lashley vs. Carlito Kennedy vs. Paul London (yeah, I know it makes no sense)
hyperchord24 Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 Yes, because rest holds are the best way to "beat the clock."
The Amazing Rando Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 This format doesn't fit well for old Resthold Randy.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 Smart move, Orton. You're in a beat the clock match, so of course you use a bear hug/body scissors for 3 minutes.
CheesalaIsGood Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 It also might have upped some tension if Regal has mentioned that they also have to WIN their matches as well. Maybe add something with hardy about how he and Orton have wrestled a couple of times and Hardy was hungry to finally beat him. Alas.
hyperchord24 Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 Seriously, what bad match-planning, or whatever you want to call it.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 I'm just sick of him.......I always thought long reigning champions were generally suppose to be the heel being chased by the face. This format doesn't fit well for old Resthold Randy. Nah. Before Yokozuna it was extremely rare. The Monday Night Wars brought us frequent title changes, which we're only now getting away from. I'd rather see long championship reigns, since it makes the title seem more important.

Mecca Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 Whoever decided how to plan out this match wanted to make Orton look like a moron....
Hawk 34 Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 My favorite BTC match was the one with HHH and Benoit where everyone tried to keep him from winning.

Lashley: I lost in three seconds, BEAT THAT!
Ravenbomb Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 Alright. Jeff for Orton. I'll say... Sandman for Booker. Venis for Kennedy. Snitsky for Lashley. NOT VAL VENIS!!! ...VENIS!!!
hyperchord24 Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 Whoever decided how to plan out this match wanted to make Orton look like a moron.... If the rumors are true everyone else is gonna look worse
fazzle Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 So after Melina beats Maria in about 2 1/2 minutes, she should claim to be the #1 contender, right?

I wouldn't place Cena in either group.
