How the fuck can they keep having KOTM matches when they spend every non-KOTM PPV having the guy who lost the belt trash the match premise? Shouldn't you put over the uniqueness of your own match instead of constantly "What kind of match idea is this? This is stupid, it's idiotic, it's asinine!" burials.

Considering the fact that it was said by the heel being a sore loser it's not that bad. If Angle would have said it, or a face that 's one thing, but the heel is being a baby about not winning.

I still can't get over the commentary over-selling things that should be all but ignored, and then all but ignoring a massive left-side lariat that JR would've sold like death, and a mild "Did you see that" for Harris stealing the Unprettier.

And an even MILDER Mike Tenay when Harris kicks out of the Unprettier.

EDIT: And the cameraman somehow misses the Dustin interference that finishes the match. Great work, as always.

He appeared to be bald with a goatee, but I didn't get a great look at him.

And that was one of the better spots I've ever seen; AJ went for a cross-body on Abyss, and just bounced off as Abyss took about a half-step back.

EDIT: And TNA forgets to edit out the NWA part in their title graphic. Smooth.

I just tuned in to a stream for the main event. Why exactly does TNA have so many convoluted, bullshit type of stipulation matches?

I wasn't too high on that match, but it picked up at the end with some interesting spots. I loved the finish with Joe tripping up Angle as he did the slam on Brother Ray, then stole the win from Angle. The return of Scott Steiner was great as well, I'm glad I see he's fine.

thanks for the sopcast info, redjed.

that main event was better than I thought it would be

Was it me or was Don West really mellow at times? He almost sounded high. It was beyond weird not hearing him shout at fucking everything.

For the record...according to Wikipedia...the VKM's new girl is Niki Roxx...an indy female wrestler.

And here's to wonder about...who will Joe pick as his tag team partner...since it was said when the match was made that the winner could choose his own partner?

So how was the last three matches? I never saw them.....just reading the results right now....

I actually got really bored with watching the show (again, thank god I didnt pay for it and just found an online feed - something I'm going to do much more often probably and then if a show is good, I'll just buy a replay and record it, etc) and just left the computer after the Eric Young tag. The booking of what I saw with the show wasnt so bad as it was just extremely elementary and boring, most definately didn't keep my attention.

Sorry I didnt give any news on the rest of the ppv, blame TNA for boring me to death.

Yeah from a booking standpoint it at least wasn't the chaotic, bizarre stuff from the previous show. The in ring work wasn't as good however.

Watching the Shelley/Sabin match tonight I realized why Backlund's TNA stint has been so strange. They are actually trying to have him be a FACE with his psycho old man gimmick. What the hell are they thinking having Backlund as a face with that act, since he's obviously highly annoying? It's no wonder the crowd sided with Shelley and Sabin there.

I was a bit baffled by the end of the main event. Why does Joe get to now choose some new partner? Shouldn't he and Angle simply be the tag champs? It will likely be moot since Joe will select Angle anyway. Or maybe Judy Bagwell.

I can almost guarantee he'll have Angle as his partner to keep building that feud in, again, the most elementary, uncompelling (WWE just did it this year alone w/ Michaels and Cena, albeit both of them were faces), and just uncreative way possible. Obviously the long term idea here is Joe beats Angle and perhaps is the first TNA worker to hold all three belts at the same time or something. That is going to be rough to do, if that is in fact the plan, unless they rush an Angle/Joe rematch at one of the next few upcoming shows, although i would think that will be the main event at Bound for Glory. I just can't envision any possible main events for the Aug and Sept ppvs to LEAD to that, especially considering all the belts are self contained with two men and I bet will continue to be until October. I would try and predict the next two ppv main events, but I'm drawing a total blank. Thats how stale the booking has been lately to me....certainly not because things happening are so unpredictable and interesting that I "never know what to expect next." The only real thing I would like to see TNA do, even if its after BFG, is for Lesnar to work here for a run, matches with him and Angle and Joe, singles and a three-way potentially, would be fun stuff to see.

Good to hear of the Steiner run-in, I still am interested in that match for sure. Unfortunately I could care less about anything else in TNA right now. Dustin Rhodes against Harris sounds bland, and what the fuck to do with Christian and Co.? I just dont see any compelling things upcoming, but maybe they will surprise me....insert sarcasm here!

The only real true positives out of this show was the opener at *** 1/2 and a XXX reformation, although if they are tagging again, its kind of dumb to give Daniels a title shot (could very well happen that Daniels remains a single mostly and Senshi/Skipper ends up being the normal tag team though). Like I said before, the rest of the show was just "there" - the workrate didnt seem that good tonight other than the opener as well.

I found the rest of the ppv I missed online, the main event was actually better than I expected - ***, but the other two top matches were underwhelming to me, nothing to write home about.

They did a post-show video on Youtube, with Joe interviewed, and then they air some footage of the Duds talking shit to the fans for giving them heat during the match, hopefully they try a heel turn on those guys as I am calling them the Duds for a reason. Also Russo was shown on camera during this video, in the ring and walks out at one point right behind the announcers.

Doesn't that honor belong to AJ Styles?

Nah, I think the next couple of months are to get the various belts off of Joe so that they can go with Joe vs. Angle at BFG. For instance next month at the PPV they can job the tag belts to the Steiners or someone, maybe Sabin/Shelley or the reformed XXX. Anyone really. Then Angle can defend against Sting or whoever in Sept. and Joe loses the X title in some goofy 3 way again. Then you have Joe vs. Angle set up for Oct.

Yep. "Roxxi Laveaux" = Nikki Roxx. She's a talented wrestler, a beautiful woman, and a nice person. She's a regular at SHIMMER, and is the closest thing we've got to a female world champion co-holding the PGWA and LLF belts.

So of course TNA sticks her in a goddamned Papa Shango gimmick as a third wheel to a couple of hasbeens and has her feud with a playboy bunny. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: fuck TNA.

Apparently Roxx was a last minute replacement.......the role was suppose to go to an ex WWE'er who pulled out due to a personal issue at the last minute.

Ariel would have been perfect since it was already basically her gimmick. If Ariel couldn't show up, maybe they should have just, you know, waited it out instead of hiring someone else to take the spot.

God forbid they bring in anyone with both tits and talent. Gail Kim and Jacquelyn are pretty much the only real female wrestlers they've hired in years.

And that's what happens when a naturally skinny guy stops taking steroids. You just can't look like that all the time without a little extra help.
