JN News Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 Well, back in 2000, after I graduated from High School, I was able to get my first Deep Purple album during the summer. That album was "Perfect Strangers". I also have several other Deep Purple albums in my collection. I also have some Deep Purple DVD's in my collection, as well. Is anyone else a fan of Deep Purple?
Jaxxson Mayhem Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 Yesssssir. Made In Japan = pure greatness.
tbondrage99 Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 There live album "Nobody's Perfect" might be my most played CD.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 I use a lot of riffs from Highway Star as warm ups.
The Man in Blak Posted September 4, 2007 Report Posted September 4, 2007 Dave Dymond's Deep Purple dissertation: http://www.thepitftw.com/index.php?showtopic=2157
B. Brian Brunzell Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 I'm also a Deep Purple fan. I've always liked Blackmore's playing, and Ian Gillan is a great frontman.
Gary Floyd Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 "Hush" is my favorite song of theirs, though there are others ("Highway Star","Perfect Strangers", Speed King") All I have of the band is a best of album.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 That's really about all they're good for.
Toshiaki Koala Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 "Child In Time" is one of the greatest songs ever.
Red Baron Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 Is it true Blackmore is so messed up these days, he just plays on a whim except for Smoke on the Water, or is another classic rock station just making up some bullshit about the band.
B. Brian Brunzell Posted September 6, 2007 Report Posted September 6, 2007 Last I heard, Ritchie was playing with Blackmore's Night, which from what I heard, was very Renaissance-ish sounding.
JN News Posted September 6, 2007 Author Report Posted September 6, 2007 I know that Jon Lord has retired from the band, a few years ago.
