ECW/Smackdown Spoilers for the 9/4 and 9/7 airings

Tonight's ECW rating will go a long way in how Punk is treated going forward. If his publicized win can pull a noticeable ratings bump it could really raise his profile to the wwe power brokers, however if ratings stay the same or heaven- forbid fall, it will forever be used to bury him.

 

Did Edge's MITB title win pop the ratings noticibly??

 

Not really. However, that was a heel winning the title. Angle winning the title and having it spoiled had a higher rating, so Punk might get a small bump but I don't think WWE is that concerned about the ratings in this regard, as long as it doesn't drop significantly.

I am not expecting too big of a bump in the ratings, the Punk win was only advertised online. When the title changes hands on SD they have always pimped it hard on television beforehand.

 

As far as the Major Brothers go. They are on SD and part timing it in OVW. They have lost 2 out of the last 3 weeks on OVW so that should show you how the compay views them.

 

I think a name change is in order: "The Vanilla Brothers" is more like it. No charisma (or at least that has been given a chance to show), boring moveset and boring attire. Booking was looking like they might get a run with the tag titles but someone in the Office came to their senses. You could reunite the dynamic tandem of the Brooklyn Brawler and Reno Riggins and get more of a reaction from the crowd. Someone explain to me how these guys are on the main roster but creative cannot find anything for Rob Conway?
