dubq 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2007 cabbage, I'm actually less fond of that idea because it feels to me like "ECW vs. TNA," or at the very least an ECW faction. It's not a bad stable on its own merits, but in doing this they'd be bringing in not one, but four WWE castoffs, increasing that stigma further, as well as setting up an angle based off of "these guys were in another promotion." Even if not pushed as "ECW," the subconcious association would be there. I personally like Sandman in TNA because he has a distinctive style. RVD and Sabu do as well, and any one brought in as a singles star might be an asset, but to do them as a group loses some of that distinctiveness. Speaking of RVD & Sabu - as much as most everyone thinks RVD deserves to be at the top of the card, etc. I'd still love to see him reprise his tag team with Sabu. I don't care where it is either.. ROH, TNA, NOAH, AJPW, wherever. I just wanna see it! Make it happen!!
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2007 RVD and Sabu vs. Team Pacman baby! Come on, you know you want to see them put Pacman through a table. Of course given TNA's booking they might have Sabu job to Pacman or something.
dubq 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2007 Gerweck.net says this is from Sandman's myspace: Hey people, this is The Sandman. I think now that all of you have heard about World Wrestling Entertainment releasing me from my contract. Please, I have recieved emails and comments with hurtful things to the WWE such as not watching their programs and doing stuff to them where they lose a fan base...PLEASE DO NOT DO ANYTHING HARMFUL TO THE WWE. I am VERY upset about my release but I am even more upset if you guys take it out on them. I have a great attitude towards WWE, Vince McMahon, Stephanie, HHH, and Johnny Ace...I will make damn sure I am back in the WWE one day. WWE treated me well, I had a great time on WWE Raw and on ECW on SciFi...I loved every moment of it and the wrestling business is and has always been one big family combined with entertainment purposes. I appreciate all of your messages and all and I can not thank you guys enough! I will be back in WWE one day again...count on it. I can't view myspace from work but this is the link they gave at the bottom of the posting: http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...logID=309278172

Why does that just sound like code for "meeting with WWE, to get my job back"? How authentic is this "myspace" anyways?

LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2007 Hilarious how Sandman points to the hypocrisy, that when Vince does the same thing, the "outrage" from Angle is missing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Angle was in the WWF when the Steve Austin crucifixion happened. Didn't that happen early in '99? I thought Angle joined in late '99. Well unless Kurt Angle is only offended by RELIGIOUS imagry, because WWE has done plenty of stuff that could be considered in awgul taste since Angle has been around. Technically Angle wasn't "In ECW" when they did it either, he was just there as a guest.

RedJed 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2007 So are any organizations having seperate shows themselves on this weekend or are they part of the whole wrestling show that Sat? I have noticed Dale Gagne's AWA is promoting an 11am Sat show themselves... If you havent already, you should do a post on this show in the "other" federations area....sounds pretty wild, they are even saying Steve Austin is going to be there I see. And if they do get ppv clearance, I'll definately be ordering this.

Celtic Jobber 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2007 Source: PWinsider "There is a person on MySpace pretending to represent The Sandman in hopes of getting up front money for booking the former ECW and WWE wrestler for indy shows. Don't send the person any money because he is not associated with the former ECW Champion. I have also heard stories of a former indy promoter who is saying he will get Sandman booked and is charging less than the actual rate so beware of him as well. Sandman is being exclusively represented for indy bookings by Tod Gordon. If you are interested in booking him, you can do so at this link: www.myspace.com/pwuczar. I actually had planned to post about the Wrestlefanfest in the Indy feds folder but I was going to wait until the end of Sept or the beginning of Oct to do it. It got brought up so I figured I shill it just a little bit. I think the PPV is going to be on a limited amount of providers, but I'm assuming that as I don't know the full details. I don't think it's going to be a live ppv either, it might be one of those "this has already happen but you can watch it now" kind of deals and the show is suppose to be put on dvd as well. The card may have changed as well, because I can't find it on the website right now. I actually got that card from Helfyre's (my trainer) myspace. The card was posted in a tiny square a few days ago, but now I can't really find it. Any word on the ROH card? I've heard nothing yet.
