Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 Marvin, you're acting like the season would be completely turned around if KYLE BOLLER was the starter. That's like saying you would be a lot better if you had hair. The rest of your life will still be just as bad as it was before.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 Anyone catch Ray Lewis throwing the offence under the bus (again)? Something along the lines of, "Our problem is all the turnovers; that's not my problem, I play defence."

Mike wanna be 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2007 Fuck, my monitor is filthy. I saw those two pictures and thought Ray had a tongue stud in one of them. And Baltimore should be throwing the offense under the bus. Maybe their defense would play better if they had some sort of offensive attack to throw out there. I remember back in the Chargers horrific days that they had an above average defense, but they'd be on the field for 45 minutes a game because the offense would just 3-and-out. Ripper 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2007 If there was ever a time you could say that the defense wasn't to blame for giving up 5 touchdowns it was monday. The offense really did fuck them over there.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2007 I honestly cant believe the a QB who is completely incapable of throwing farther than 10 yards and has more fumbles (5) than TDs (2) can remain a starting QB for a team thats 4-4 and still has an outside shot at a playoff run. Boller deserves to be given the starting job from here on out. If I were Boller I'd be wishing I could tear that 1 year contract extension up right now..cause he could be a starter on at least 12 other teams in the NFL right now including the Ravens. 11 teams : Jets/Dolphins/Bills/Raiders/Bears/Vikings/Falcons/Panthers/Cardinals/Rams/49ers

That's enough. Vikings- Maybe, but they seem sold on Tarvaris Jackson for some odd reason. Falcons- With a top 5 pick in the coming draft, they will probably spend it on Brian Brohm, so no. Currently though, that's a maybe. Panthers- Delhomme's still the man in charge, and Carr and Testaverde are one year fixes, so maybe but I'm leaning towards a no. Cardinals- Yeah they need to mess up that situation further. No. 49ers- Supplant their heir apparent, Alex Smith? No. In reality you have maybe THREE teams that needs Boller. Im talking about right now, not next year or 5 years from now. Boller is a better option than any of those teams have starting for them this weekend, for numerous reasons not the least of which is that he has starting experience and has a really good arm that is completely underutilized in Brian Billick's "7 yard pass them to death" offense. Had he not signed his extension, Im sure they would have gotten trade offers for him and probably would have traded him by now to one of the above teams. You can't have me believe that the Panthers wouldn't have been interested in Boller over Testaverde for instance.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2007 Kyle Boller isn't a better option for those teams and he's only an attractive option for the Ravens because McNair is having a Bledsoe-like year of turnovers and general screwing up. I can't think of one thing that Boller has demostrated that would have gotten any team to give him a shot at starting. The Vikings already have a Kyle Boller, his name is Brooks Bollinger. God, why don't you just ask the team to turn to Troy Smith? At least he might be able to scramble for his life. Sure he probably won't be able to see over the line but at least he was proven winner...in games where the title isn't on the line.

USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2007 The way I see it is: Is there a market for Rex Grossman? Kyle Boller plays almost like Rex (shit for brains, an arm that you can throw deep bombs with, absolutely no accuracy), so if no one will clamor for Rex Grossman, no one will for Kyle Boller. (And in fact, I think if you have Rex Grossman and Kyle Boller available in free agency, more people will look at Grossman, just because he has a Super Bowl appearance to his credit). Guest Pizza Hut's Game Face Report post Posted November 8, 2007 Grossman will be a backup/reclamation project somewhere, but he'll be damn lucky to get any playing time. He'll land in Kansas City and not do anything.
The Niggardly King 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2007 Fuck Grossman is going to be that guy who gets shitted on until the last few years of his career. Journeyman QB FTW. Boller is horrible, the only thing he has on Gross is that he can scramble... plus he can throw it through the uprights on the 50 yard line... ON HIS KNEES!
