Guest Vitamin X Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 FUCK, down 11-30 after that punt return. Hey, maybe OU-UO could still happen, just a lower bowl game if KU beats the Sooners.
Slayer Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Barring that, I could still hope for an LSU-OU title game as revenge for '03
teke184 Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Well, that helps settle the LSU-Oregon-Kansas debate...
Bored Posted November 16, 2007 Author Report Posted November 16, 2007 Game over. Oregon can still win the Pac-10 if USC beats Arizona State and forces a three-way tie which obviously the Ducks win by beating them both. That's assuming they take care of UCLA and Oregon State which I wouldn't assume at this point. You have to wonder how excited U of A fans can really be about this as this will save Mike Stoops' job.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Wow. I just turned the game on. That's absolutely terrible, and 100% not the way you want to see a team drop out of the title hunt. I guess every team needs to have its backup prepared for situations like this, but man. Poor bastards.
Secret Agent Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 So Oregon is going to loose the game soley because Dixon isn't in there? If that's the case than Dixon should be awarded the Heisman even if he is done for the season.
Hawk 34 Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Let's not concede the game for Oregon, just yet. The title hopes are eliminated but this game isn't nearly over.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Nicely timed Dixon for Heisman ad there.
teke184 Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 ... Fake punt by Oregon for about 40 yards, fumble, Arizona recovers. Oh, that's a review...
Edwin MacPhisto Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Oh god, it was a fumble after all. Oregon's getting pwned by the high lords of futbol.
Secret Agent Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 About time the review went against Oregon; that's what they get for last year!
teke184 Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Another Oregon turnover. HOWEVER, this one will likely be turned over on review.
Secret Agent Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Another Oregon turnover. HOWEVER, this one will likely be turned over on review. It'd be justice for this obvious call to go against Oregon and give Arizona the ball back.
Hawk 34 Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Let it go. That has zero relevance, it happened, move on.
nogoodnick Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 I've been moping around for about the last 2 1/2 hours somewhat similar to Oregon's offense.
devo Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 And immediately after virtually putting the game away, Arizona coughs it up. It's getting a little ridiculous with the reviews, even if it looks like this call might be overturned as well.
Secret Agent Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 If Arizona wins do the fans rush the field?
nogoodnick Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 From everything I know about UA, they like to party. So the students just might.
Bored Posted November 16, 2007 Author Report Posted November 16, 2007 For a program that hasn't been to a bowl game since 1998, storming the field after beating the #2 team in the country is acceptable. And they are already starting.
devo Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 They're not even waiting until the end of the game. Arizona might risk forfeit if these people get out of control.
nogoodnick Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Nah. Fuck it let em celebrate. I would.
Guest Sabu Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 this is beyond depressing. i need a drink
nogoodnick Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 this is beyond depressing. i need a drink Waaaay ahead of you.
Mike wanna be Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Brady Leaf, the anti-Rex Grossman. Down by seven, first and ten, gonna checkdown. Second and seven, still down, clock ticking...check down. Third down, can't fail here, time for a check down.
SilverPhoenix Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Okay, Fuck it. I'm going to go on record and say it now. Kansas Vs West Virginia: Your BCS Title Game, folks. Of course I may be wrong, and I full well expect to be. But if I'm right, you heard it here first. And yes, I know about LSU, and I full well think LSU is going to lose again.
nogoodnick Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 In Brady Leaf's defense (can't believe I'm saying that) he is the WORST fit for that offense ever and he was hurt. Ducks fans have hated on him for years, no reason to expect greatness now. They probably would've benched him but the 3rd stringer tore his ACL a few weeks ago.
