MFer 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2007 He's 9th in receiving yards but yeah...not seeing where he's a top-10 WR.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2007 Hell no he isn't a top ten reciever. he will make big plays every now and then, but the guy will blow a route, drop a pass, wiff a block faster than most receivers. He isn't Michael "I will get my QB at least one pick a game" Jenkins bad, but still. That said, they are both very decent recievers. But too flawed to be called top 10. White is top 20 maybe. I think Norwood could be a top ten back if he gets a coach that gets the fuck over their "But he is too small to be a every down back" then plays Warrick Dunn for most of the downs. I also think that they were just too injured along the offensive line. Tyson Clabo,Justin Blaylock and Wayne Gandy, I think are all very good offensive linemen that you can build on. I do think you could get by a year with Leftwich before having to break the bank on a QB. Just trade Brooking while people in the league still thinks he has some value, get a couple of safeties(or give Jimmy Williams a shot), one that can play SS now, one that can replace Lawyer Milloy at the FS in the future and I think you are looking at a pretty good defense that could carry a mediocre offense. MFer 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2007 Speaking of young players getting a chance, when the hell is DeAngelo Williams gonna see more carries than DeShaun Foster?
Ripper 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2007 Because Foster is unstoppable for like 6 weeks. Then he breaks about 12 bones. Its like having John Abraham. you know he is going to miss 6 games, so you get the most out of him you can and deal with the consequences later.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2007 John Abraham is the most frustrating player ever. He's easily a top 3 pass rusher if he wasn't such a pussy.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2007 Eh. The way he plays every down is why he gets hurt so much. he doesn't rely on technique as much as freakish athletisim and just scratching and clawing his way around his defender. Playing like that is going to have you end up landing in some wierd positions a whole lot of times and twisting ligaments in ways they aren't supposed to twist. Technique guys will always be more durable than the balls to the wall, freak, psycho rushing guys.
