BX Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 Um.. is this just the first round? If so, we only need 30 people (Dallas has the Browns pick, and San Fran has Indy's) Also, the Giants have the 32nd pick.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 No they don't, considering the Patriots' natural selection was taken away from them via Spygate. New York's 32nd pick is now 31st and will conclude the round anyways.
BX Posted February 7, 2008 Report Posted February 7, 2008 No, the NFL will consider the Giants pick 32nd.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted February 7, 2008 Report Posted February 7, 2008 six of one, half dozen of the other. I'm less organized than the NFL. I also flipped a coin on the coinflip picks, and that's what came up. I'll post more notes as they come up. Feel free to pick teams that don't have a first round pick. I'd like to do a second round, too.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted February 7, 2008 Report Posted February 7, 2008 OPEN TEAMS 2. St. Louis Rams 31. New York Giants
MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 I am SHOCKED..SHOCKED I tell you..that no one picked the Ravens yet.
Guest Vitamin X Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 Maybe because no one else here gives a shit about them, which is obviously a fucking clue you haven't gotten yet... or maybe ever?
MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 Maybe because no one else here gives a shit abut them, which is obviously a fucking clue you haven't gotten yet... or maybe ever? someone doesnt get sarcasm..wow..
Guest Vitamin X Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 EDIT: *smashes keyboard, gives up trying to explain simple idea to retard*
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted February 10, 2008 Report Posted February 10, 2008 You got it. Still open teams, kids. We might have to pick two, those that are wanting to play. I'll give registration until..Tuesday.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted February 10, 2008 Report Posted February 10, 2008 Broward took my Texans? CURSE YOU! *shakes fist in...apathy really* I guess I'll enjoy playing the gallery and booing everyone's pick.
Mike wanna be Posted February 10, 2008 Report Posted February 10, 2008 I don't know how Carolina's still up there, so I'll take them. I was thinking about taking them a week ago, I guess I just forgot to post it.
Vampiro69 Posted February 10, 2008 Report Posted February 10, 2008 Damn, I wanted the Cards. I suppose I will take the Bills.
CanadianChris Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 I'll also take the Vikings unless someone else wants them.
Xavier Cromartie Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 I will pick for the Vikings.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 uh..did I actually have to say "I'll take the Ravens"? I thought that was pretty obvious.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 I am not completely sure how this works but I'll take the Chiefs.
Kinetic Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 Yeah, this system is pretty convoluted. Can't we have teams assigned to us at birth?
Dandy Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 I'm still curious if trades can be worked out with other teams if we are doing more than one round.
Kinetic Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 I'll give you the incomparable Michael Clayton for a 2nd round pick. How's that sound?
Dandy Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 Only if I get extra Gatorade thrown in. I was thinking more of trading picks, which would be likely for the Dolphins if the draft field was a little bit stronger this year. I was wondering if I could trade the first pick for someone else's first rounder and have them throw other picks in. Agent didn't set any rules, so I assume it is just pick whoever you think should be picked when it is your turn.
Broward83 Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 Broward took my Texans? CURSE YOU! *shakes fist in...apathy really* I guess I'll enjoy playing the gallery and booing everyone's pick. Good, I'll have someone to answer to when we take another defensive player or wide receiver instead of trying to plug up the O-Line (most notably, the left tackle). I'm smelling another first round D-lineman!
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 Since there's a little confusion, I'll get a little more in-depth on the procedure here. Let's keep it simple. When your pick comes up, you draft a player. I don't want to keep track of trades and shit. For example: after all the teams get picked, and if no one claims the hapless Rams or superbowl champs we all went apeshit for by tomorrow morning, I'll take one of them and give someone else the other. Then, MIAMI IS ON THE CLOCK! The only time limit is "reasonable and prudent" and I'll probably shoot a pm your way if you're up and don't check the thread much. You can make your selections in this thread, or pm it to me. Half of the fun of this exercise is to explain WHY you would draft Darren McFadden or whoever, should you be GM of the team you selected. Everyone clear on the procedure, now? If not, go hit yourself in the face, then ask me a specific question.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 How many rounds are we doing?
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 I'm figuring two. If there's still interest, we can certainly do more.
naiwf Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 I'll take the Giants if they're still available.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 Someone put the Rams out of their misery.
