It's been some time since this place turned into a war of words between this board and the Pit.

You'll be disappointed, there's not much bad I can honestly say about the place itself. Lushus dislikes me a bit but he's a good poster. Dr. Tom got me writing for the main site when we had one.

It's probably really sad, but I consider myself Mr. WWE 24/7 around these forum. I KNOW who Leena is talking about when she decries the area of the board as masturbatory since 1. She can't seem to stand al 2. She's called me a good poster on a few occasions for God knows what reason, but as the heart and soul of the 24/7 area I thought it was being unfairly criticized. I've never once considered that thread - and no sub-folder - as a way to have conversation by excluding the unwanted. ANYONE can chime in. I just really enjoy talking about nostalgia and the fine programming on 24/7 - if you and The Pit think people above me have some masturbatory political reasoning behind the threads, fine, but god damnit Lushus, I fucking love that area of the forum for the passionate discussion of the days of old, regardless of what The Pit thinks.

Eh, part of that was me being silly and going along with Matt Young's "OMG TEH PIT HATEZ US" thing, but the rest was just "I don't get it, what am I doing wrong?" stuff.

 

Honestly man, that thread was actually pretty funny. Y'all seem like a good group of people (based on that sample thread) - a small group of people that enjoys discussing the goings on of the forum while taking the time to mock what's wrong elsewhere. Shit, if only TSM had some sort of group - or perhaps even clique - of posters like that. Surely THEY wouldn't get the brunt of TSM hate, would they?! I guess that's my real issue. People here will say "why does anyone post at The Pit?" and people there will ask the reverse. Isn't the answer the same for both? That it's a community of posters that someone has decided "you know, I think I care what these people think of my thoughts - I'm going to share them and hope for some interesting discussion!". I don't know, maybe I'm just looking at the black and white of the issue instead of the Shades of Gray.

I know it might sound like I was just setting up a sarcastic DMC comparison, but I did get a real sense of community from that thread though. If I had enough interesting things to say that I could say the same thing in two different places, I would probably try to fit right in. And fail. But hey.

Hard feelings against TSM did create the Pit 3 years ago, so you're not so far off. That's pretty much all passed, aside from a few. I don't hate TSM, there are just some posters I can do without here....there are some posters at the Pit I can do without as well.

not a 24 hour thing. Just seems like over the years it's a less fun place. Maybe it's every time a long time poster seems to go away. I can't even remember how long I've been here, but every year it's less and less. I don't know what it is, but I used to be able to kill a day here easy. I still come here obviously.

I read that as "the previous regimes have all been worse than the ones that preceeded them. Too early to tell with this one, though". So I don't think y'all ruined it in just 24 hours, Czech, you just hadn't proven to YNA that you'd necessarily improved it, either.
