WWE Bans Ringside Photographers

Recommended Posts

Since WWE's move into High-Definition broadcasting, one staple of the pro wrestling scene has been absent from ringside - ringside photographers.

Feeling that they show up too prominently on HD broadcasts, WWE has chosen to only allow their own company employees at ringside, so

photographers covering the event are now relegated to shooting from the area where WWE sets up their stationary cameras for TV broadcasts. Photographers are still allowed at ringside for non-televised events.

Pretty dumb if you ask me. Back in the day, the nwa would point out all those photographers to make a point that the match was special.
