Kahran Ramsus Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 There's one pick that I made that I would have passed on if I had known that my backup pick would still be around this late. I still can't believe he hasn't been picked yet.
Just John Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 The thing about the NFL draft is that there are so many great players and the positions are so specialized, that it's hard to predict who will stick around and who won't. Since quite a few positions won't be drafted more than once by the same team (and if they are, there will likely be long gaps between them), in theory, everyone should wind up with top 20 players at most positions. I think there have only been a handful of questionable picks thus far, and a lot of my top prospects are still hanging around.
Guest Vitamin X Posted June 26, 2008 Report Posted June 26, 2008 Personally, I don't mind if everyone keeps missing picks since that just increases my chance of a pick coming back around to me and me getting what I want or need.
Kahran Ramsus Posted June 26, 2008 Report Posted June 26, 2008 On one hand, I do like that it will get me a better team. On the other, I don't like constantly having to wait 16 or 24 hours or whatever between picks.
Guest Vitamin X Posted June 26, 2008 Report Posted June 26, 2008 Alright, updated the first post and the topic title. nogoodnick and Agent both have 1 pick to make up according to my count. Everyone picking below me should have 10 players, and everyone above me should have 9 right now. Also, there's a few people who haven't categorized the players. I don't think it matters much, it was actually a little easier for me to just find the new players being added and listing them, but it looks nicer this way in the first post.
Kahran Ramsus Posted June 26, 2008 Report Posted June 26, 2008 I believe nogoodnic has two picks to make up. One for picking a guy who was already drafted (Wehrli) and one for missing his pick in this round.
Bored Posted June 26, 2008 Report Posted June 26, 2008 Yes, nogoodnick needs to make two picks and also I thought Agent said he had PM'd someone to make his picks for him while he was gone.

Guest Posted June 26, 2008 Report Posted June 26, 2008 This pick could lead to someone else getting picked soon, but I don't give a damn. Maybe it'll ignite debate once that happens. Who knows? It's really, uh, HARD to find a receiver that fits what I'm trying to go for here. I needed someone that could run great vertical routes. Everyone needs a deep threat. John Stallworth...
CanadianChris Posted June 26, 2008 Report Posted June 26, 2008 I need someone on the O-line who can create holes for Barry Sanders, and this guy was one of the best run-blockers ever... Was waiting to see who'd take him. Excellent choice.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted June 26, 2008 Report Posted June 26, 2008 Same here. Been waiting on Stallworth for the last 5 rounds or so.
MFer Posted June 26, 2008 Report Posted June 26, 2008 I was hoping to take Stallworth next round, but hey, you can't have everyone (wanted Gates as well).

Kahran Ramsus Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 Is anybody going to be here until midnight (EDT)? I'll need to PM my pick to somebody.
Guest Vitamin X Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 I'll be around, in fact I'm willing to wager I'm pretty much managing this thing more than anyone else right now, so just hit me up with your picks.
Kahran Ramsus Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 Thanks. I sent you my pick and a backup in case Brandon shows up and takes the guy I want.
Gert T Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 What time are you going to post KR's pick? I will come on after that. Watching the DVRed NBA Draft.
Guest Vitamin X Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 Alright, it's been 8 hours so Kahran Ramsus picks: DE Len Ford
Gert T Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 With my 10th round pick, I select: Alan Faneca/G 7 time Pro Bowler 5 time All-Pro
Canadian Brandon Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 Len Hauss, C * 5x Pro Bowl selection (66, 68-70, 72) * 70 Greatest Redskins
Kahran Ramsus Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 Thanks, Vitamin X. Ford's a Hall of Fame Defensive End for the multi-time champion Cleveland Browns of the 1950s.
Fökai Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 If any teams go dead, I'd like to take them so they aren't "dumped" back into the players' pool. Hell, I have free time for the next few months.
