MFer 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2008 I'm 3-0 as well (War Daddies) but I've really had to trot out some makeshift lineups. My WR situation is so bad that I picked up Kevin Curtis to stash away on my bench, and he's not even ready to play yet.
Cartman 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2008 2-1 Pawtucket Patriots here. Starting J.T. isnt such a bad thing this week...
packwingfn 0 Report post Posted September 25, 2008 In my dynasty league...Even with Tom Brady on IR, I'm 2-1 right now thanks to Jay Cutler/Kurt Warner. I also needed a 2nd RB as I had nobodyyy since Benson quit and Dayne is nowhere...so I traded Andre Johnson for Clinton Portis and doing good because of it. (My first RB is Larry Johnson)
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted September 25, 2008 The 1-2 Pacman Jones Allstars here. My team sucks, i've scored less points than anyone and my one win was a total fluke. If i don't finish last i'll be amazed.
Kinetic 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2008 How is it possible for all of your players to have a shitty game on the same week? Cutler was all right, but Marion Barber did nothing. The two guys who pushed me over the top last week--Jerramy Stevens and Pierre Thomas--gave me even less than he did, netting me all of half a fantasy point. Jacksonville kicker Josh Scobee is this week's Levitra® Prime Time Performer. 3-1.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2008 Thankfully I survived the stinkfest cause by J.T O'Sullivan and remain undefeated.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2008 I desperately need a QB. Everyone is available with the Exception of Matt Forte (Yes, this means Brian Westbrook is available!)
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2008 Until I saw you had Flacco, I got scared you'd end my unbeaten streak. But I think I got you beat sith Holmes still to come.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2008 Until I saw you had Flacco, I got scared you'd end my unbeaten streak. But I think I got you beat sith Holmes still to come. I got the Saints tomorrow vs the Vikings. Holmes better put up 15+ points if you want to win. I might wish I had started Palmer, but I couldnt take another 0 for him not starting again. And Kitna is just..shit to put it bluntly (Flacco at least outscored Kitna)
Guest Report post Posted October 5, 2008 I'll give you David Garrard or Kyle Orton. Send me an offer.
Kinetic 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2008 I'm up against a guy who started both Plaxico Burress (suspension) and Jamal Lewis (bye) and I'll still lose if Gus Frerotte puts up more than 11 fantasy points tonight. Fucking DeAngelo Williams. Who dat?
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2008 Kicked ass and scored the most points yesterday in the TSM League... booyah!
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2008 The Champs are about to be the Chumps lol. I basically need 5 points from the Saints Defense (Im down 4.5 but there aren't 1/2 point scoring possibilities for Defense) to win and knock off the last undefeated team left. 9:40 edit: the Saints defense isn't doing me any favors. Kinetic 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2008 Yeah! Narrow victory this week over the 0-5 Finnegan's Wake, and if the guy had put any sort of thought into it I would have been beaten. Still, 4-1. After getting fuck-all from Jerramy Stevens and Ben Watson for two weeks, I went out and picked up Zack Miller.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2008 I got 40 points between the TB Defense and Elams 5 FGs and a PAT, but Im still down 11 points! Good news is I have Breaston, Watson and Buckhalter. Bad news is, my last second decision to go with Frye as the QB (over Fitzpatrick) will probably doom me to a loss. MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2008 Yeah! first team to score 100 points in the league so far. Awesome week. I'll be in 2nd place..
Kinetic 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2008 I got crushed yesterday. My receiving corps is a mess at the moment, with Roy Williams having a down year. I can't seem to get anything consistent out of my TEs, either. It seems like if Cutler and Marion Barber don't have monster days, I'm sunk.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2008 Well with Jacobs and Manning doing squat, I think that was my first loss. The recievers were a major mess and it showed with my pathetic point total for this week.
Broward83 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2008 Derek Anderson showed up and gave my team a come from behind win.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2008 Derek Anderson showed up and gave my team another loss. 1-5 now, the race for last place stays alive.
MFer 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2008 2nd-most points in the league (only 1.57 behind the leader), and yet I'm only 3-3 and sitting in 7th place...come on now. Still not getting enough production from my WR's. EDIT: Actually, whoever has The Shamrock Shakes is getting hosed on the matchups the worst. Slighty behind the 4th-place guy in points yet he's 1-5...damn.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2008 My QB musical chairs continues this week with Joe Flacco again in a decent matchup vs the Dolphins and picking up Brodie Croyle and having to drop Jon Kitna and Carson Palmer. I think it says a lot for the scoring bias against QBs that I could score 110+ points with Charlie Frye as my QB getting about 8 of them last week. As long as I can keep winning on the basis of my Kicking, Defense, RB and WR, I could care less who I start at QB.
MFer 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2008 My decision to bench LenDale White is really paying big dividends* *for my opponent EDIT: I also could've started Mewelde Moore, but I cut him last week...
Kinetic 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2008 Had a fairly comfortable win this week. That decision to pick up Dominic Rhodes (a fellow Abilene-Cooper Cougar) paid dividends. I also scooped up Jeremy Shockey this week, and although he didn't have much of a game this Sunday I think he could be one of the keys to my success down the stretch. 5-2. TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2008 My winning ways continue. I don't have any of the main fantasy monsters but I have a lot of guys who produce just about every week with consistency (Evans, Jacobs, Holmes, Eli, Lynch). First place stays with me. MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2008 Im 5-2 in 2nd place with Flacco and Orlovsky as my QBs. Guess it helps to have the #2 defense in points, #1 kicker in points, and 3 RBs in the top 60 overall players on Yahoo.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2008 1-6 and now officially in last place by 1.69 points, finally my team is in the position it deserves.
Kinetic 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2008 I've got a big game this weekend, but I'm unfortunately having to start Ryan Fitzpatrick at QB due to Denver's bye. Probably should have hung on to Flacco. My HBs--Marion Barber and Dominic Rhodes--are both playing against fairly stout run defenses in Tampa and Tennessee. So I'm not at all optimistic that this isn't going to turn into a bloodbath.
Kinetic 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2008 As predicted, I lost by 30+ points. Funny that in what would likely have been the only game where I would have considered starting him had I held onto the guy, I lost to a Flacco-led team. And the guy I ultimately replaced him with netted me -0.02 fantasy points. Ugh.
