Is there any point of this Clone Wars movie?

 

To make more money. Obviously, it won't make nearly as much as the other Star Wars movies. But seeing how it was originally supposed to be a pilot for a TV series, I'm sure it didn't cost all that much so it should make a nice profit.

 

But other than making more money? No, there is no point.

Yeah the movie's just 3 or 4 episodes stapled together isn't it?

It's a theatrical release of the TV show, so I assume the costs weren't too high.

 

Also, apparently it's a terrible piece of crap and the reviews are being pulled off the net by the studio's lawyers until release.

Hell, I'm going to go see Clone Wars- but only because I still have money on gift cards I got for my birthday to AMC theaters.

Originally I thought Clone Wars was going to be a full length movie based on that TV series that looked like it was drawn exactly the same way a parody of it from Clerks: TAS would have been. Instead it looks like it takes place in the TMNT 2007 universe.
