Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Man, that play action deep ball is there. DO IT!
jimmy no nose Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 What a weird half. I guess you can chalk up the Colts offense to Manning missing the preseason and maybe it will come together in the second half, but I was more surprised by the other matchup. I know they only gave up 13, but the Colts D looked like they had some trouble with the Bears offense. If you can't stop the Bears offensive attack you're going to be in some trouble.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 If you can't stop the Bears offensive attack you're going to be in some trouble. Why? They looked way too fluid. If they keep it up, that's a legitimate offense.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 I think they're on to something with this TE split wide/receiver in the slot formation. A big athletic TE is going to beat most linebackers in along the sideline. If he gets doubled that leaves the WR open inside. Good idea!
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 That was ballsy. Oh well. Can't win 'em all.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 If he hadn't tripped him, Hester was gone.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 But he WAS tripped. And he gave the Bears the ball inside their 5, on a drive they probably should have made the most damage in if they want to have a decisive win. They must think the Colts are gonna be as bad as they were in first half, all game long.
Guest דניא Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 This has been a pleasant surprise so far. I'm waiting for some interceptions and induced fumbles, though. That's supposed to be the hallmark of Lovie's system.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Grossman's not playing tonight, Dan.
Jaxxson Mayhem Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 That new Sony commercial where they laugh off soccer is awesome.
Smartly Pretty Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 I've only watched this game for a couple plays cause the Met game is on, but it looks like Matt Forte is blocking really well in pass protection too.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 He's playing like a three year pro. I'm seriously impressed.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Would've liked a score on that drive, but it gave the D a nice rest. 'Bout due to force a turnover here.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 That's a complete pass. ... But I get this sneaking suspicion that they might screw the Bears anyway.
Jaxxson Mayhem Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Man. This is not going so well.
Guest דניא Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Matt Forte has singlehandedly upgraded my Bears outlook to "cautiously optimistic," so thanks, sir.
Zetterberg is God Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Nice stop by the Bears there.
jimmy no nose Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Things really aren't going to Colts way today. What percentage of the time do they not convert that 4th and inches? Turn over on downs just inside the 50.
Zetterberg is God Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Is this actually Kyle Orton? Please don't fuck this up Chicago.
devo Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Man, there isn't even anything fluky about this. Bears are just rolling right over Indianapolis. NFC North might be a three-team division after all.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 YES, this is the guy who has been on the bench in favor of REX GROSSMAN.
KingPK Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Week 1 is typically a crazy week. I wouldn't put a whole lot of credence into the results as far as the rest of the season goes. Some teams just break out of the gate better than others.
Zetterberg is God Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 I think Manning not having Jeff Saturday probably has something to do with this.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Not having seen an actual defense since last season probably doesn't help either.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Oh, I'm not pencilling Chicago in for the 2 seed or anything, but this will be a HUGE win if they hang on.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Definitely. It would be a huge confidence booster. Both for the team and for one Kyle Orton.
Guest דניא Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Al said Ortman got married! Well that's just great for him. Good to see the Ort settle down and get serious. This was a good game. Too bad I didn't watch it 19 months ago.
