Bored 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2008 Still nothing from The Monkey Man. If he doesn't submit picks by tomorrow's final deadline, I will use Smues picks as replacements. MarvinisaLunatic picked Kansas and Baylor for tonight's games.
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2008 Sorry about the delay. I don't usually go on the internet while I'm on vacation, especially when it's my dad's wedding. Bored 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2008 So you're trying to say that this contest isn't as important as your Dad's wedding? I am outraged! Three weeks in, no drop outs. Got to be a record. Navy - MarvinisaLunatic THURSDAY North Carolina FRIDAY Kansas SATURDAY Navy Baylor Notre Dame Georgia Tech Purdue BYU Air Force Oregon State Southern Miss Virginia USC Fresno State Tiebreak #1: How many total points will be scored in the Ohio State/USC game? 49 Tiebreak #2: How many passing yards will BYU's Max Hall have against UCLA?
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2008 I hope everyone I match up with this year picks Washington State. I learned a lesson thanks to WSU. I couldn't remember which Washington school was the one that really sucked and the one that was barely mediocre. I wasn't happy to learn that I had picked wrong. 909 got a free win there. Guest Report post Posted September 13, 2008 I learned my lesson last week, picking Washington State for no good reason. I knew they had a new coach and thought they'd perform well in their first home game. X
Obi Chris Kenobi 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2008 Any good websites to read up on College Football? Incase you haven't guessed this my first year ever following it haha
Guest Tzar Lysergic Report post Posted September 13, 2008 Google, dude. I like footballsfuture.com, but that's more for draft/prospect analysis, which is all I basically give a damn about aside from immediate entertainment. The rest of the site is NFL-centered.
Obi Chris Kenobi 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2008 Cheers, I'll take a look, to be fair I find the draft pretty fun - I get caught up in the hype too easily. I'll have a look around google, was just asking if anyone had personal preferences out there.
Bored 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2008 Dr. Saturday Blog Rivals.com CollegeFootballNews.com EDSBS (Every Day Should Be Saturday) - My personal favorite although more for humor than actual college football analysis.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2008 Of course my matchup is coming down to Southern Miss vs. Arkansas State, the game I knew the least about, where I ended up just picking the home team just because.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2008 Because of my snafu with Washington State, I have to actually care about the late game with Wisco/Fresno. Bored, don't put the Washington schools on the schedule for the rest of the season.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Report post Posted September 14, 2008 UConn is busy gathering feathers at halftime after thoroughly covering the Cavaliers in tar during the first half. 4 scoring drives over 70 yards. Tyler Lorenzen hasn't thrown an incomplete pass yet.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2008 One advantage of being hopelessly devoted to a miserable team is that you always know exactly when to pick against them. Which is pretty much every week.
JaMarcus Russell's #1 Caucasian Fan 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2008 Thank God for Air Force and Baylor. They are truly my saving grace this week. Fuck UCLA though. Bored, keep on putting the Washington schools for pick'em please? Haha

Bored 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2008 Amazing turn of events this week as only one Top 10 team falls and that was in the one match-up where a Top 10 team had to lose. On top of that, in 17 of the 20 match-ups this week the higher ranked team won. Now you'd think with everything going so remarkably to form there wouldn't be a whole lot of changes in the rankings this week but you would be so very wrong. First thing, something that didn't surprise me is that we had a wide divergence in correct picks this week (3 to 12) and secondly we're only three weeks into the season which leaves a lot of room for movement. #1 iggymcfly wins but loses the top spot! #2 still fly wins but in lackluster fashion and tumbles out of the rankings! *gasp* Expect more of the same next week as there is less than a 1 point rating difference from #1 to #6. Bored Championship Series Rankings thru Week 3 1. Ball State - Vampiro69 2.4 2. Arizona - UZI Suicide 2.5 3. N.C. State - AboveAverage484 2.8 4. Virginia - Edwin MacPhisto 3.05 5. Georgia Tech - iggymcfly 3.1 6. Nebraska - Mecca 3.1 7. Tennessee - Canadian Brandon 3.9 8. Ohio State - Gert T 4.6 9. Indiana - Tzar Lysergic 5.2 10. Fresno State - Agent Bond34 8.1 Other Receiving Votes: Alabama (AlwaysPissedOff), Arizona State (still fly), Buffalo (Carnival), Miami of Ohio (Hawk 34)

iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2008 I is also 3-0 although I kinda did deserve to lose the #1 ranking this week. No way would I have taken Michigan or Georgia Tech if I'd done my picks on Thursday. Probably wouldn't have taken Southern Miss though either.
Vampiro69 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2008 This is the first time I have ever been ranked number one in this game. I must say that seeing Ball State #1 is odd no matter what activity is taking place.
