TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2008 Yeah, but they're, most weeks, gaurenteed to be top scorers. They're also a luxery item, which is why the cost more. What are you 'plainin' about anyway, my good man? You're sitting in fourth! People use different stategies. You, for example, are doing very well with no 'super main eventers' while i'm doing equally as well with both Jericho and Batista in my roster. Some people just like to cram theirs full of midcarders until they've got no money left, while there's someone who's gone for five guys only, all upper mid or above. It's just the way people play, I don't think anyone has any real issue with the main event guys costing a lot more than your standard 'wrestle on one card a week' midcarder. TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2008 The top scorers so far, (not including Michaels, who will be right at the top, since nobody picked Michaels and I dont have his total): Mark Henry = 46 points Big Show = 43 points Batista = 32 points Tony Atlas (!) = 25 points Great Khali = 25 points John Morrison = 25 points Ted DiBiase = 24 points Chris Jericho = 23 points You also need to remember, when we're picking a team, we're picking for a PPV as well. Guys like Triple H, Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, that you mentioned, are a lot more likely to get PPV points than someone like Evan Bourne or even MVP at this stage, and you win a lot more points if you appear on PPV. It's just the risk you take.
fazzle 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2008 I'm not complaining. I'm just stating WHY nobody took HBK.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2008 How many times can he be depended on to actually wrestle a match? Hell, if he doesn't get picked as the Ref for the PPV he wont even be on it.
JHawk 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2008 I'm sure Michaels at least appears to do a promo before they announce who the referee is.
fazzle 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 Question: is the costume contest at Cyber Sunday going to be considered a specialty match?
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 I don't know what it is yet, but if its a multi-man match, then yes.
fazzle 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 It appears to be a generic "beauty contest" type event. WWE.com at the beginning of fantasy used to give specialty match points for these, but then stopped giving them out because the winner was decided by the fans, therefore it wasn't an official WWE contest. (but in reality they stopped because it started making the divas way too powerful)
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 Well, if there's more than two people in it and its every man for themselves, its a speciality.

Beast 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 Wow, you must have been thrilled watching the main event tonight Franchise. I happy still to be in 2nd at least, this was a tough show for me. Kane and Henry somewhat saved me in the end.

tekcop 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 Yeah, I picked McCool because she had been on TV quite a bit, was champ, and was winning often, but that just stopped as soon as the draft started. Edit: Will this match be counted? http://www.wwe.com/shows/cybersunday/match...375144/preview/

Kane and Henry somewhat saved me in the end. I know, I was actually so damn tired, i'd been out in town for several hours, came home to watch Raw and was going to record it when I got home, heard the main event announcement, and thought 'six matches with two of my roster'? Shame Jericho couldn't win three and not just the one. Still broke up your monopoly of the top spot!
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 & no, the US Championship match won't be scored as it's not on television. Which is a shame, because R-Truth might have scored me good points.
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 Beth Phoenix must be the worst fucking waste of 7.5 million I did this round. when's the next redraft? I was going to make this announcement towards the end of the week as a reminder, but i'll say it now too.. Month 2 begins this Sunday, one hour before Cyber Sunday* You can trade up to and including three people out, and as many people in, as long as you stay under or equal to $50m. *I write it this way simply to avoid timezone problems. It's 12 midnight UK time, that's all I can tell you.

TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 Doesn't include you Kami as i've noted your team down, but don't forget to PM me your team as well, or simply the replacements you're making. Sivy messaged me saying 'x, x and x out, y, y and y in'. It's actually easier for me to do it this way rather than typing out an entire team. Just remember, stay under or equal to $50m. King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 So the trades come into effect before the PPV? Or after?
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 No, they start the day after. It's not fair to have them start before the PPV because you can simply pick guys that are going to main event, and get speciality matches, etc, and score way easy points. I've edited the original post in this thread to say when the months start and end.

'Preview match' my arse, I was banking on those title defence points!
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 You never know, it might just get bumped up to the main card! I think if R-Truth were to win, they'd have put it on TV. Shelton must retain, surely.
