Glad to see Role Models have a good weekend, it was a pretty good movie.

Role Models did much better than expected. Soul Men did worse than expected.

What were the expectations on Madagascar? It was obviously going to win the weekend, but I was expecting 35-45 not 60. Pretty terrible movie, but obviously the kind that's going to make a lot of money off of the family audience.

No shocks there with the placing and what not. Soul Men just doesn't look good, I was expecting that to do a little worse actually.

 

Yet to see an ad for The Secret Life of Bees

I figured there'd be some people wanting to see it for Bernie Mac.

 

I don't remember seeing an ad for Secret Life, though I did see a trailer

Maybe seeing Bernie Mac in a silly comedy after he died saddened some people and thus it did worse than expected?

A 35% drop is really good for Zach and Miri, it's nearly made as much as Clerks II's entire run already.
