YourKock'sReallyGreat 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2009 The Giants can stop 3rd and short, but get 3rd and 10+ and it's almost a given that you'll convert. Thats the prevent defense for you. 13-11 game now. Giants need to start scoring touchdowns.
Psycho Penguin 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2009 The playoffs continually proving it doesn't matter how good you were six weeks ago, just how hot you are now. This has been a fun game.

Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2009 This game contrasts pretty starkly with yesterday's for me in terms of entertainment. That was killer defense; this is just sloppy.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2009 Giants need to start scoring touchdowns. They don't do that anymore. This game looks exactly like the Pittsburgh game where it took us 4 FGs and a safety to score 14, while Pitt just needed 2 TDs. Fuck Carney in his ass. Why bother activating Tynes if gramps is going to kick the long FGA and miss by a mile?

Eagles convert YET AGAIN ON 3RD DOWN. JESUS FUCKING CHRIST. WAKE THE FUCK UP WHAT A BULLSHIT PUSSY CALL. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME. Pierce is a moron with that facemask. naiwf 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2009 The dagger is coming. The defense is getting tired, and the offense is non existent. A TD here wraps it up since we can't kick FGs and the offense is seemingly allergic to scoring 6's.
Psycho Penguin 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2009 Do the Giants really miss Burress that much?
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2009 Somewhat, but the constant defensive breakdowns on third and long have nothing to do with Plax.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2009 The Giants aren't seriously about to blow this right? Did PsychoPenguin ever explain why he has three NFL teams in his sig?
Guest Smues Report post Posted January 11, 2009 So if Philly hangs on we're now 15 minutes away from the Arizona Cardinals HOSTING the NFC championship game. What universe did I slip into?

YourKock'sReallyGreat 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2009 Hahahahahah Wide open touchdown. If I were a Pats fan I would be pissed that my perfect season was stopped by the Giants.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2009 Damnit. Come on Giants! If the Giants lose, I really have no interest in watching the rest of the postseason. It's time for the Passion of Elisha!
naiwf 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2009 That home field advantage sure is a big deal in the NFL eh?

Right, they'd suddenly be pissed about it NOW, and not A YEAR AGO when it happened.
Psycho Penguin 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2009 Born in Baltimore, but moved to Florida and became a Bucs fan. Grew up a Jets fan. Baltimore got a team year after I moved. And I don't feel like ditching any of them.

geniusMoment 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2009 Even better, NY and the surronding area should never have a winning sports team ever again.

Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2009 That home field advantage sure is a big deal in the NFL eh? The last few years the bye week seems to really halt the momentum of some of these teams. Though to be fair the Titans got hosed by the officials. This was the one upset I actually did expect. naiwf 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2009 Coughlin just wasted a time out. Fan-fucking-tastic.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2009 Even better, NY and the surronding [sic] area should never have a winning sports team ever again. Why? What's so unlikeable about the Giants? I like that NY is the one city that doesn't seem to burn to the ground when their teams win, like Philly. Though to be fair the Titans got hosed by the officials. The Titans got hosed by their inability to hold onto the ball.
Psycho Penguin 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2009 Bill Simmons did a "study" saying the road teams have been winning more and more in the regular season lately, due to big modern stadiums, advances in technology, nicer hotels, etc. It's not as hard to play on the road as it was in the 70's, basically. Take that for what it's worth.

Take that for what it's worth. I know Czech will swoop in with his anti-Bill Simmons diatribe, but I lost a lot of respect for his connipition over being called out about Philip Rivers' swearing. I think it's that there's more parity in the NFL, so a #1 seed isn't that much better than a #4 seed. And wow, this sucks.
