The Niggardly King 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2008 Ultimate Fight Night 17 Josh Neer vs Mac Danzig Ah shit, another bad match-up for Danzig.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2008 Eh, not really. Danzig has better wrestling then Diaz but his jitz isn't on that same level. He can likely take Neer down for three rounds.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2008 Ultimate Fight Night 17 Nick Catone vs Amir Sadollah Josh Neer vs Mac Danzig Hermes Franca vs Joe Lauzon There's conflicting reports that Nate Diaz vs Marcus Aurelio is going down here but I'm not so sure. Even though Aurelio was, at one point a world-ranked fighter but the dude is 2-3 in the UFC and has lost 2 in a row whereas Diaz is undefeated in the octagon. Feels like a step down even though it's really not.

HollywoodSpikeJenkins 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2008 According to Facebook, Joe Lauzon vs. Hermes Franca in Feb. at Fight Night 17. Anyone confirm that? If so, I hope J-Lau beats his ass in.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2008 I had a post halfway down this page mentioning it but as far as camps confirming it goes I haven't heard much.
Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2008 According to Facebook, Joe Lauzon vs. Hermes Franca in Feb. at Fight Night 17. Anyone confirm that? If so, I hope J-Lau beats his ass in. Doubt that Lauzon will win... Hermes at this stage in the game will be too much for Lauzon. I hope Lauzon wins though, I'm a big fan of his.
Lei Tong 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2008 I fail to see how Lauzon can beat Hermes. By being uber aggressive against a fighter's who's extremely tough to finish and has a knack for finding openings while on the defensive? It's especially unlikely considering Lauzon himself has only once ever gone the distance, in an exhibition fight to a less talented midget than Franca (v. Gamburyan)? It's especially unlikely considering Lauzon himself has only once ever gone the distance, in an exhibition fight to a less talented midget than Franca (v. Gamburyan)? Yeah pretty much thats how I see it. Franca's Jiu Jitzu is worlds beyond anything Lauzon can bring to the table on the ground. I see Franca ripping off Lauzon's arm off on the ground. Standing up I see Franca KOing Lauzon. Lauzon might be able to outstrike Franca for a bit, but eventually Franca will catch Lauzon.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2008 Franca is just a big dude who will out muscle the smaller Lauzon, which sucks cause J-Lau is the man. I'm always hopeful for him to catch something off his back, though.
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2008 I don't know why anyone would want to see Franca get his ass beat. The guy is super nice and charismatic and just very likable. More importantly, he's exciting to watch. He'll never be world champion or anything, but I am always interested to watch him fight.

Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2008 One out of how many? That was more the fault of Edgar anyway. I was talking about the Marcus Aurelio fight. I didn't find the Edgar fight boring.
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2008 I didn't either but I was playing along because I know a lot of people did, so if one did find it boring, he would hardly be at fault. Didn't see the Aurelio fight though.

Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2008 Velasquez's opponet will be UFC newcomer, Denis Stojnic.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2008 Bit of a step down from JOB but I can see why they're giving him this fight because it's risky as this point in Cain's career to give him a bigger name what with him not having fought since July. Lei Tong 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2008 Here's hoping Tibau can finally get over the hump and pull one out against a relevant LW again.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2008 If somebody less-versed in submission defence like Gray Maynard can use his size and strength to control Clementi to a UD I see no reason why Tibeau can't do it too.

Lei Tong 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2008 Okay, there's no way that fight doesn't end up being hilariously brutal.
Mik 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2008 If Rosholt can't beat Sakara then he loses his blue chip prospect card. Immediately. With that said... Sakara isn't exactly the best opponent for a "zombie-fu" walk straight ahead without covering up fighter so Rosholt better have putten that Osterneck gameplan far behind him.
