Guest FrigidSoul Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Thank god this show is back and Reno 911 is in the trash can
Youth N Asia Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Reno 911 was so close to being funny...but just wasn't. I might get season 1...but with the exception of the pants pissing funny Clayton Bigsby skit I don't know how often I would watch any of it. Taping the episode tonight so I can watch it when I get off work.
Guest Krazy Karter Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Reno 911 is still in production according to this site: http://www.aspentimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar...120/AE/40119014
razazteca Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Reno 911 is a great show, can't wait for season 2. Thomas Lennon is a genius.
Guest Ghettoman Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Reno is alive and well, that and Chappellse's Show give CC the best programming out there if you ask me.
Downhome Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 I'm glad I'm not the only guy who enjoys Reno 911. There are so many quotable quotes from that show, it's great. I love Chappelle's Show also, I'll pick up season one as soon as I can.
razazteca Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Will Chapelle Show have music guest on the show this season?
Youth N Asia Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 I hope not...that's just 5 minutes of the show I never watch
Guest Krazy Karter Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Will Chapelle Show have music guest on the show this season? DMX Cee-Lo Anthony Hamilton Erykah Badu Ludicris Timbaland and Magoo Lil Jon wth the Eastside Boyz Common
razazteca Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 I approve of the list of music acts.
Guest Krazy Karter Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 That show FLEW by. Racial Draft was great.
WrestlingDeacon Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 I think it felt kind of bland and generic compared to a lot of the stuff he did last year. Like the running for Congress and slow motion bits were very meh. I do applaud Dave for smoking on t.v. I don't smoke, but I would if I was on telelvision to fuck with the tight ass self righteous. The Samuel Jackson beer and racial draft stuff made me chuckle, but I don't think this was a really strong kick off to the season. I would like to have seen a skit with one of the long running characters. At least there was no rap act to eat up the last five minutes.
Star Ocean 3 Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Chapelle's Show has been too impressive. Reno is much better.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 Chappelle taking a sh*t, and then in slow motion had me bustin out laughing.
Nevermortal Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 I thought the show was hillarious, especially the Racial Draft, but I'm disturbed by the whole "Dave Chapelle smokes cigarettes, now let us remind you tenfold by having him smoke EVERY TIME HE IS ON SCREEN" thing.
Youth N Asia Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 Like all of his other stuff, it was hit and miss...the slow mo stuff went on too long.
Guest Brian Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 I'm kinda disappointed with the expected musical acts. Dave went out last season and really had a more indy feel to his music, in a sense that some of the cats were really good but on the threshhold of breaking out. Or just the old school guys. I'd have to say the show blew by quickly too. I like the slo-mo bit, the Sam Jackson beer, and Racial Draft. Especially the trading stuff.
