  1. Opie is great at being a narrator. Yet, I still gotta say that he's only the second-best narrator guy in sitcoms that I can remember - because I think Daniel Stern is still the standard for that kinda thing. Look, I'm stretching for a negative here...
  2. Good name, lame-ass logo...
  3. Panama, same as Rupert and Fairplay. Damaramu, I gotta ask - you're not watching Vanuatu because you feel you still have to, right?
  4. It was Erin. Although there was a joke running around that she was actually a man. Darrah the mortician was also kinda cute. And she definitely had her priorities straight with the money she was getting - she was gonna get some boobs (although frankly she looked pretty good as is).
  5. Nah. More violence, more stealing, more French-speakers. I'll stay here, thanks just the same. -=Mike I'm sure Alberta will welcome you, its the closest comparison to the states. Speaking of which, I hope Harper wins the next election...
  6. Don't feel bad, I paid full price as well, less $5 from my BB Rewards coupon. Sadly, Fry's decided to not run a sale for SDvRaw that I could price match...
  7. I'd recommend Wario Ware since you can literally play it 5 minutes at a time. It's great if you're on the bus/subway and can't invest that time to playing an RPG. Another good short-on-time game is Mario Golf Advance.
  8. Yeah, I guess they're repeating it. Personally I thought it was a pretty good series, the story really draws you in. X-Files meets Marvel/DC, in a sense. Then again, I enjoyed Playmakers and Keen Eddie, and both of those got cancelled, so what do I know?
  9. Personally I think that Elizabeth Hasselbeck is the only one who has looked good both on and off the island. As for this season I've been watching on and off but it's pretty much been Pagonging from the get-go and frankly, it's kinda boring. Burnett rolled snake eyes with the casting this time around, but in all fairness, it's hard to top seasons with Rob C, Rupert and Fairplay, and Boston Rob.
  10. Wait, were they repeating the original miniseries?
  11. Almost any change is good. However, this probably means that AJ jobs to Nash at TP but it gets reversed due to some El Kabongage...
  12. It's the delivery that sells it.
  13. First chance I've gotten to see AD this year, and I gotta say - awesome ep. They really do a good job of making sure you don't get too lost if you jump in.
  14. I think SNL tries to make sure that it's visually obvious that it's not the real deal. Forte's come into his own as W, and I don't think that anyone else on the cast can do a better job than him.
  15. I just hope that in 2008 the US gets some good, strong candidates for people to vote for.
  16. As a Canadian working in the US, I'm shocked and stunned by this info.
  17. Somehow, I don't see that being part of the Binaltech/Alternators line...
  18. - Once again, Horatio in the first half hour = crap show. - MVP this week was U2, as they carried the show. - Armisen's Tony Danza was all types of kickass - I thought The Pacers thing was pretty good, considering that it happened the night before. As for the Miller jersey, it's probably the easiest Pacers jersey to find in NYC.
  19. Off the top of my head... Apparently "Christmas With The Kranks" is a John Grisham novel called "Missing Christmas" or something like that. "Jackie Brown" is "Rum Punch" by Elmore Leonard. And I think that there's a lot of Ray Bradbury and Phillip K Dick short stories that get made into films with different names. "Total Recall" comes to mind.
  20. The Old Boys Network. I don't actually have anything good for a real name. Just about anyone, really. I'd actually put Monty in there since it's unlikely that TNA would let Hall and Nash squash him.
  21. There are now 16 Spanish stations in Houston. I'd love to hear someone from Clear Channel explain how there can possibly be a market for that many. I guess "the growing Hispanic demographic" means you have to ignore all the other ones. RIP KLOL; it wasn't a great station, but it was definitely the best of the lot. I guess it's even more sports talk for me now. Ah, but you see, the problem is that CC doesn't own any Spanish language stations in Houston, thus they must have at least one. The ironic thing here is that the new 101 allegedly plays the largest variety of music of the CC stations. They play rock, pop, and hip-hop, but in Spanish, and not just Top 40-type stuff.
  22. There wasn't enough time to find a squeegee or safety scissors, I guess.
  23. Thoughts - Is it wrong for me to think that the Detroiters miss hockey more than they've let on? - Props to Rasheed for going into the stands and trying to protect his fellow players. - Artest throws a pretty vicious right hand. - I feel sorry for any innocent bystanders that got caught in the middle. - Yes, the fan started it, but it doesn't give you the right to charge into the stands after the guy. - This is the first time I've ever seen Screamin A Smith talk at a normal volume. - I hope Bill Davidson has the hockey setup from when the Vipers were at the Palace, because I'd put those up and stick everyone behind the glass next Pacers-Pistons game
  24. Well, I'll give you the Nitro-at-crash-TV pace. Except that it wasn't well-booked IMO. It was booked so that everything revolved around the nW... er Kings of Wrestling. Which I haven't seen since maybe Raw. Except Jolly Jeff Jarrett isn't HHH, Nash isn't DAVE, and Hall... well Hall is probably equal to Flair at this stage of Ric's career. It's kinda sad to say this, but Mero didn't look fruity enough. I think it'd be a good if you give him the "delusional heel that thinks he's a face" gimmick though, and leave him in the midcard. The DDP thing seems like a Raven-booked angle for some reason. I didn't mind DDP, actually, since he wasn't a part of almost every segment. If you mean how they actually look more than one PPV ahead, then yes. Although booking only short term for Savage may be a good idea, and even then, have Monty available to step in when Savage does flake out. The main event will only get AJ and Hardy over if they're booked strongly. Which they probably won't. I'm predicting that they get used as the Outsiders' bitches and that Savage (after doing basically nothing) pins Hall for the victory. I hope that I'm wrong and you're right though.
  25. Wow, that's a poorly written column. I'll give him that he ties everything into his theme of illusions, but he really stretches to make this essay work: - First he explains the concept of the 'Devils', and cites two cases - customers who buy something, send in the rebate, and then return the product, and customers who buy something, return it, and then buy it back at a discount on the 'open items' rack. - Then he jumps to the conclusion that because BB doesn't like these 'Devils', they dislike all people who buy loss leaders, and wonder why they have them in the first place, since BB is out to screw everyone over. (Not that he tries to really prove this, since he's already going to his next point, which is that) - Apparently BB - and BB alone - 'force' the manufacturers to create a mail-in rebate that apparently noone likes, and especially not the consumer. And somehow, this causes rifts between everyone. (Which is why consumers and manufacturers keep coming back to BB.) - And then he somehow goes into a rant about data collection (in this case BB asking you for your zip code) and how smart he is by paying cash and refusing to give out his zip code... actually, I'm not sure what this has to do with illusions. Maybe he just doesn't want to be found when SkyNet goes online? So anyways, in the end I'm not really sure what point this guy is trying to make other than pay cash and fly under the corporate radar.
