He won at Summerslam 04 clean. I mean recently...as in since his last turn.

You know...I really dislike Orton. Really. I mean, I find him to be the most hateable man in all the WWE. Even when I try to get into him I can't. He appears on screen and I just get the urge to slap the hell outta him. I really dislike Orton. That said, why is it that they can never seem to put him over anybody clean? I really don't understand it. They're always trying to sell him as the future of the company, but it seems like nowadays whenever he has a big match (well...the big matches I've seen anyway) he always wins cheaply. Are they trying to push him or not?

Would've made sense, especially if the plan was to put the belt on Angle.

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Ric starts stripping I will die.

Do Kane and Show actually wrestle together? I know I haven't been watching much in the past few months, but I don't think I've actually seen them defend the belts yet.

Some mark, I'd assume...

Sucks for Batista. Although I must say I'd laugh my ass off if this meant they had to put the title on Mark Henry at the Rumble.

Feuds That Could Have Happened But Never Did
Papacita replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in General Wrestling
Shawn/Perfect in 96. They had hinted at it at various points during the year, and they had a great setup following the "Perfect Hoax" (with Perfect helping HHH win the I-C Belt from Mero in exchange for some backup as he goes for the World belt), but Perfect didn't wanna wrestle due to his insurance claim from his back injury or something along that line. They feuded briefly (BRIEFLY) in late 92/early 93. Taker was supposed to go into a program with Nailz, but when he left the company, Shango got inserted in as a replacement. I don't recall it ever going anywhere outside of a few house show matches though. -
I feel somewhat obligated to comment on Chyna...hadn't heard about her wanting to go back to WWE. I know that since she got out of rehab, she's got a few movie offers, and actually has a starring role alongside Anna Nicole Smith in some Sci-Fi pic called Illegal Aliens, which is supposed to be released sometime next year*. There was also some talk of her getting her own reality show ("Being Chynna" is what I think the name was), but I'm not too sure what's been going on with that. And she seems to be doing well for herself these days. *And by "next year" I meant 2006...stupid year change.

So it's not Mother Love? Did they really use Thea or was that just a joke? Edit: I see it's already been confirmed...that's horrible.

I only heard Heenan call it that when he made fun of Tatanka Yeah, I don't recall it being used too many times, but that's the name they gave it in the WWF Superstars Magazine circa 92 or so. I never really cared for CM Punk's "Welcome to Chicago" either (Butterfly Backbreaker)...or Bam Bam's "Greetings from Asbury Park" for that matter. The Hollycaust was hot, though. I dunno why they stopped using that one.

Happy birthday Hoff.

You know, that top e-fed thing I used to run a few years back would've been a useful thing to have right about now. Oh well.

Billy was fucked way before he suffered that injury. Remember, by this time his upper-midcard push had already bombed and he had basically been turned into a glorified lackey for HHH and Steph. At least with Edge he seemed to be on the verge of something good at the time he went down. I do agree that Billy could've turned out a little better than he did. I think the problem with him is that while they seemed to want to push him, they never seemed to stick with it when they tried. For instance, I don't think he was doing so poorly after the Rock feud that they needed to scrap his whole singles push, as he could've just as easily fit into the I-C picture at the time.

The Papoose to Go--Tatanka's version of the Samoan Drop. Thankfully got renamed to the End of the Trail.

She's been dead for a while.

Didn't the "XO" actually stand for hugs and kisses?

I was 6 in 89, thus making me cooler than all of you put together. Hooray for youth! Anyway, I promised feedback, and here it is. Are you ready? Huh? Are ya? Are ya? Ok! We start off the logo...who made that? That's nice! 5 Star! A-Triple-Plus! I'd like to take this time to mention how cool I think it is that matches are being held at the Angle Awards. I remember watching the Slammys back in the day and thinking how cool it'd be for them to hold matches in that makeshift ring they used for the stage. I hate Lil Jon. Nothing to do with this show, but it needed to be said. Anyway, on PRL's segments tonight...I think this was pretty solid stuff, but it would've been a lot more effective if it was done in a single segment. The belt storyline really didn't go anywhere, and I think it kinda lessened the impact of the initial attack (which I liked, BTW). I think it probably would've come off stronger with just that attack, and the promo from PR at the end, because what's in between kinda waters everything down. Interview medley...AND THERE'S CORNETTE...AND BLACK T!!!!!! YES!!! I'm really feeling this thing with the Sk8ter Boiz bulking up. Their promo...specifically the last part with Marv speaking, had me laughing. COD vs SCM: There was this one simile in there that I thought was just fantastic, but looking back through, I can't find it. Anyway, this was great. I think Patty's matches are great in that they're actually a lot more fun to read than they are to visualize...did that make any sense at all? I hope so. Patty's great. Edit: "His fists act as a hell spawned paint brush, painting black and blue across her beige canvas." I loved that one. Not much to say on the Foshi segment...I have to see what comes of it before I can comment effectively. WOMEN'S ACTION~! means automatic five stars from me. Good action here. Confusia looked really strong, as did Ashley by calling for the restart at the end--really drove home that she was a fighting champion. Looking forward to the AP Title match, although THESE GIRLS NEED PICS! AXEL SPEAKS...short and sweet. The mark in me says that the Lethal Rumble SUCKED for Black T getting robbed in the end (BOOOOOOO!!), but really this was great all around. I kinda saw the finish coming, but great job of downplaying Ned towards the end. And the Sooner Bruisers came off really strong too. I marked for them SOONERLINING~! the hell outta everybody. Good show.

^ Anybody care to elaborate on that?

Assuming all this is true, I really don't find what Orton did all that wrong since he didn't attack him (the security guard, on the other hand, was completely out of line). However, I don't think he'd be in the right if he had hit him. You can say that as a professional athlete he's no different from us, but if I attack someone on the street under similar circumstances, I could be arrested, and justifiably so because you can't just go around hitting people who say things you don't like. Add to that the fact that it's his job to be able to deal with these types of situations and it makes the situation worse, IMO. And I don't think "he was outside" would be a valid excuse for an attack, because if that's the case why does WWE policy require people like Eugene and that Jillian Hall to play up their gimmicks when they go out in public?

Basically...
