It's not supposed to be out until Friday the 13th. I am trying to stay off the RE5 gamefaqs board because their are a ton of trolls who like to spoil games.

For Austin/Rock you have to have your opponent with you near the entrance aisle. You press one of the buttons and you take your opponent by the head and drag them up the aisle. It's like that so you can recreate what happened at WM 15. I think it sucks and you have to do the same thing to leave the aisle to go back to ring side. It took me 3 minutes the last time because the Rock was button mashing on strikes. The game is supposed to be arcade but it feels more difficult to do certain things than the Smackdown game. This game is definately not something you can pick up and play. -
You can get Gears of War 1 and Mass Effect for less than $15 each Gears of War 2 Left 4 Dead Orange Box is pretty cheap now too Fallout 3 Halo 3

I was a mark for High Energy back in the early 90's. It's great to see Christian back on Raw. Who the fuck is hacking the board? Is it Leena? Nobody needs to be saying gay porn.

Press X to start the meter, press x again when it goes to the left or right (based off of what arm you throw with) and then press x once again when the ball hits the yellow. The higher/harder up the meter you go the less likely you are going to hit yellow as it shrinks. If you do not go that far up the meter you will be able to have a larger yellow area to hit for the last x. Fastballs will usually get in the area you want if you mess up on the meter but you are going to pay if you mistime on a breaking pitch. It's either going to be a ball or hung over the plate. -

These pix do not prove that Jericho is cheating on his wife but he does look like a big time loser for hanging out with a bunch of 20 year olds. It's like Chris decided to go visit Kelly Kelly at college and they went to a Frat Party off campus. None of those kids look older than the age of 21. Is Kane going to kill Jericho now?

No more expansion!!!!!!!!!! Baseball just tried contracting two teams 5-6 years ago. There are already a ton of talent on the Major League level who should still be in the minors. We do not need another 50 more. -
I heard that it spread to his liver. Such a tough break. Am I the only Knicks fan who is pissed that Larry Hughes is wasting minutes on the team? His playing time is cutting into Chandler/Rooster who are both better players and have 1000 times more potential on the team. So far tonight Hughes has played 24 minutes to Chandlers 11.

Both the Xbox 360 and PS3 version of MLB 2k9 received a 4.5 from gamespot. I understand that you love MVP 05 but it is not a better game than The Show 2009. The Show is the best baseball videogame not videogame baseball that I have ever played and it looks like the real thing. It also plays like the real thing. It is lacking a little in presentation and announcing but it more than makes up for it in graphics and gameplay. The game doesn't really offer anything new that is innovative or revolutionary. It just does every aspect from above average to great. You are also judging the game off of a port. It is not going to be as good as the PS3 version. IGN rated the game a low 7 for the PS2. The PS3 version received an 8.7. -

Gamespot just reviewed MLB 2k9 and gave it a 4.5 rating. The main points of the review were all of the gameplay glitches, the stat glitches and the fact that you can hit homeruns with ease in the game. -

Well the discussion earlier was how the A's dd not draw enough to fill up a 30'000 seat stadium. I was trying to point out how earlier this decade the team was a contender year in and year out from 1999-2006 to win the World Series. They made the playoffs 5 times from 2000-2006 but only won one play off series that being in 2006. I was opening up a debate as to what would have happened to the team if they won a couple of playoff series during their great run in the early 2000's. The team had a ton of talent and should have won at least 1 World Series. The problem though is that they lost game 5 at home every year in the first round. I think that the A's would have become a larger market team if they had won a couple of playoff series, made it to the World Series, won the World Series. A couple of deep playoff runs would have led to increased attendance, tv and radio ratings, merchandise sales, etc. The team could have a payroll of around 90-100 million and drawing 35-40k every night. The Rays could quite possible become the 2nd coming of the early 2000 A's. This is in terms of young talent, smaller market team while playing in a tough division. -

How much more popular would the A's be in Oakland if they won a playoff series or two in the early 2000's? From 2000-2003 they lost 4 straight game 5's in the first round and in 2004 they missed the playoffs by one game. If they won half of the series they played in that would have been 2 ALCS and maybe 1 World Series appearance. The 2002 team blew a 2-1 lead against the Twins and lost game 5 at home. Lets not forget that the 2001 and 2003 teams both blew 2-0 leads. 2001 they lost series clinching games at home in games 3 and 4. Both the 2000 and 2003 teams lost game 5 at home as well. The 2004 team had a 3 game lead with 10 left to play and lost 4 out of 6 in the last 10 games and lost 4 out of 6 at home to end the season. If they had won a playoff series or two that would have lead to increased revenue. It could/would have increased fan excitement, future ticket sales, increased tv and radio ratings, merchandise sales, etc. Would the ownership have kept the Hudson, Giambi,Tejada, Dye, Damon etc if they had won and fans came out 40k a night? The A's had a great nucleus of young players who in my opinion could/should have been the next Dynasty in baseball after the Yankees. Another thing to mention is attendance numbers for the team from 2000-2008. Attendance in 1999 when they were an above average team and 2000 a playoff team was around 1.6 million. In 2001 it jumped up to 2.1 million and peaked the next couple of years at around 2.2 million. The last several years with being a sub 500 team attendance has dropped to 1.6 million. -

It is going to be $40 for me. I am going to get RE5 at Toys R Us with the 20 dollar gift card and put that towards LoWM. There are a decent amount of moves in the game. It's just takes a little while to get used to them and each level 1-3 has it's own set of moves. I do wish that this game offered 2 forms of controls. It is arcadey but it's not pick up and play. I think the Smackdown controls are simple enough. One of my gripes was in the Austin/Rock match. You have press a special button near the entrance way to grab control of your opponent to send him up the entrance way. You have to do the same to send him from the entrance way to ring side. Each time took 3 minutes to pull off because the Rock was button mashing with strikes. -

Did you play around with the sliders? What pitcher were you using? Were you using a variable ump or was balls/strikes strict to the strike zone? How tired was your pitcher? Were the pitch types you were throwing his 3rd/4th best pitch? There are so many variables. I am sorry but I have had 2008 and 2009 The Show and I haven't had any problems with the pitching mechanics. -

It doesn't happen on every pitch all of the time. The only time I have given up walks are when I am completly missing the zone and my pitcher starts to get rattled and the yellow part gets smaller and goes away. That is realistic. I am sick of baseball games wear I can win 7-1, 6-2 easily every single time and have all 5 of my starting pitchers be Cy Young candidates. The Show 09 on the PS3 is a very fun game with accurate gameplay. The game requires strategy in some games to win. It comes down to if you are able to work a walk, bunt the runner over to 2nd, get a key hit with a risp and less than 2 outs. It makes every at bat and every pitch important. I just lose a nail bitter against the Rays because Crawford was able to get a leadoff double in the top of the 9th and the rest of the team was able to to do the little things to drive him in. I am sorry that you do not have a PS3 yet. This game on a HDTV is as close to watching the real thing as it gets. It is even more great because are playing it. -

I am in love with MLB 09 The Show. It is the best baseball game to come out to date. I have been playing on veteran status without using sliders. Here are my thoughts on the game so far. The graphics have set the standard for all sports games to come out. The player models are 90-100 percent accurate for each player in their body shape, face and stance. The ballparks are breath taking and 99.9999 percent accurate. Playing the game is almost like watching the real thing on tv. It is funny to think how far videogames have come. I can only imagine how lifelike the series is going to be on the PS4. There are some minor clipping issues in the game but it doesn't detract from the beauty of the game. It should also be noted that the lighting in this game is phenomenel. The time of day and ballpark all cast shadows on the stands, players and field and you can watch as day turns into dusk or dusk turn into night. The gameplay is pretty fun. I haven't noticed any severe glitches yet that would affect gameplay. The hitting in this game can be pretty tough. You really are forced to work the count and force the pitcher into giving you a hittable pitch. I have only faced #1 pitchers so far (Kazmir, Hamels, Beckett, Santana) so that might be a reason why. The pitching so far in the game is a bit easier than the hitting but you can still get shelled if you make a bad bitch. I find it funny to admit but I love the way the pitching works in this game. Your pitcher can lose control if you do not time the meter right and throw lots of balls and even give up walks. My main problem with baseball games in the past is that pitchers were always 90 percent accurate and hardly ever give up walks or even throw a ball. At the end of the season my starting pitchers would all have like 10 walks on the season in 200 innings. I rate this game 9.5 after 6 hours of gameplay.
