In fairness, the Mets pythagorean record was 89-73 last year. They are going to contend for a title the next couple seasons at least. I don't like this move because Piazza would probably be BETTER over the next two years even though he's a bit older than Lo Duca. Lo Duca's just as bad as Piazza defensively (if not worse), and Piazza's better offensively. They could've let Castro play a bit more and kept Gaby Hernandez. They basically just have Milledge, Bannister, Pelfrey (who they didn't sign yet) and Humber (who had TJ surgery) left.

In terms of NYC, it's much smaller than the Times/Post/NYDN because they cover LI not NYC. But the others' sports coverage is either not their forte (Times) or sensationalized (Post/NYDN).

As for the games that made me buy my system: Genesis - Sonic 2 and 3 Game Gear - It was color, and I was a huge Sega fanboy back in the day. Sega CD - Sonic CD obviously. It's one of the best Sonic games ever. 32X - Yeah, I got suckered in. Chaotix was the only saving grace. Saturn - Virtua Fighter 2 Playstation - Final Fantasy 7 Dreamcast - Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 Playstation 2 - FFX and GTA3. It also helps that stuff like Katamari Damacy came out for the PS2. SNES - All the good games I missed out by buying a Genesis, and having a hard copy is so much better than an emulator. FF3, Earthbound, Super Mario World...

They have a good owner in Charles Wang. The Islanders just need to get rid of Milbury and get started on the new Coliseum complex, and their attendance would rise.
