Why Michaels is in WM XX ME...
Cran Da Maniac replied to Open the Muggy Gate's topic in The WWE Folder
That's the thing I couldn't understand about this angle. It even started off making Benoit look weak. They spent weeks and weeks hyping him up, showing how Heyman was trying his best to screw him out of a title shot. Then he wins the Rumble, and suddenly he doesn't care about it. All that fighting for nothing. He had Heyman right where he wanted him but he just ran away? I mean they could have at least had him on Smackdown for another show, had Heyman come out, cut a standard heel owner promo screwing him out of the title shot. Or have Heyman set up a match with Brock for that show or the next, with the stipulation that if Benoit loses, he never gets a shot at the WWE title. Benoit loses, cuts a promo saying he can face any show's champion, and that he's coming to Raw. Then on the next Raw, have HHH defending the title, he's about to win, and Benoit runs out and attacks him, cuts a promo saying he's coming for the title and nothing will stop him. This way, you get some sort of advertisement value out of it other then having a sudden jump that does nothing for nobody. (Altho the idea scenario would have been to not even muck with any of the shows and just leave well enough alone, but that would be too logical and WWE has some sort of allergy to logic.) -
I think that would have ruined the movie. It's supposed to be about how the little things in life can cause big problems. That's why he can only go back to certain times and change one thing. But you do see glimpses of how his life turns out by changing things.

****Spoilers Below**** He uses that to show his religious cell-mate that he's telling the truth about what he can do with his blackouts. He slams his hands in his younger days and appears with "Stigmata" in the future. From what I can see, nothing really changed significantly. All the messed up stuff still happened, it 's just he had scars on his hands

Wow, a used jacket! I'm so excited! Why don't you just donate it to Goodwill?

Not his fault here. But the out of bounds kickoff didn't really help the Panthers. But I'd have to say that the Patriots just played a little better game then us. You can't pin it all on one person and have a scapegoat. If we had just got a couple of lucky breaks then the Panthers woulda won.

If they're smart, they'll do everything they can to keep Steve Smith. He was a step short of being a frickin' highlight reel for the NFC playoffs, and it's obvious he's got a rapport with Delhomme. I believe he'll be back myself, I haven't heard anything about him (or anybody else on that team) being unhappy, so I look for the biggest part of them to remain, if not all of them. All I want is the Panthers to pick up a good kicker for the future. Not that Kasay isn't good, but I feel he's got like 2 seasons left, not really a whole lot to go. So somebody to ease that transition from old kicker to new kicker would be nice.

The Panthers could come back next year, but it all depends on how the Free Agency goes. Isn't Smith up for grabs next year?

Hey, don't discount Davis. He's a good RB, and can get the job done when need be. It's just that he's more of a power guy, and Foster is a speed guy. The patriots Defensive 4 was a bit too much for the Panthers OL, and that's why Davis wasn't as effective in this game as he could have been

As an NC native and a Panthers fan, I really have to give it up for the Patriots. They played a really good game, and Tom Brady was really great. There was numerous times he was so close to being sacked but wasn't, that it was uncanny. It was a great game from both sides. At least the Panthers proved the nay-sayers wrongs on almost all counts. The recievers got good yardage, Delhomme wasn't rattled, and I think next year that the Panthers will be a force to be reckon with. But good game by the Patriots.

Who said anything about a car?

A wise man once said "If it's brown, drink it down. If it's black, send it back". Tho I don't know what that means for white water.

The best part is, even if the Pats stuff the line and play perdominantly Run-Defense, they still have Poole and Law shutting down Carolina's top 2 recievers. So basically in order for the Kittens to do anything on Offense they have to do it with Delhomme throwing to his 3-4-5 recievers...Heh. Well the Panthers number 3 reciever is Ricky Proehl, who has always been a very solid reciever in his career. As anybody can see, I'm pulling for my hometown team, but I think this is going to be a really close game. Final score 27-24 Panthers. I look for the Panthers secondary to come up with some big plays, and I see Delhomme totally fazing out the blitz.

As a long time Nascar fan, I don't really like the new idea for the points system. The old system could produce very dramatic races (See last years Busch Series, or the '92 Winston Season). You could conceivably have a guy who's 11th in points going in the final 10 races, have a ton of good luck and finish well enough to have the championship. But instead he can only get 11th and be cheated out of the money and prestige of winning. Also could have the leader have a lot of bad luck, and he'd still come out with 10th, and any money that entitles. The old system rewarded strong consistent finishes. The only reason why they changed it was because they didn't like the idea of Matt Kenseth as there champion. Kenseth is just to dry, and doesn't garner the attention of Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon or Tony Stewart.

I've often wondered how ABOBO suddenly grew hair in Double Dragon 2.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I happen to think this board has a lot more problems then whether or not to eliminate post counts. How about getting the board where it works properly for everybody. I don't know how many times I've come on here in the past couple of weeks and couldn't get in initially because of an SQL error or a memory shortage or something.

If you're willing, try downloading WinMX. I've gotten tons of instrumentals there.

What were your favorite bloopers / fluck-ups

If you mean the part at the beginning where he bumps his head in Bilbo's house, I think that was used to illustrate just how much taller he is than the Hobbits. Hence, no gaff, just a simple sight gag. If you're talking about another scene, I don't remember it. Actually, according to the DVD commentary, it was a goof, but one that McKellan kept on playing his part so it made sense. -

In Lion King, when Simba firsts meets Timon and Pumba. The little meercat (can't remember which one he is) shoves a leaf full of bugs in Simba's face. When it cuts to a shot of the leaf in front of Simba's face, we see nothing is holding it up there, it just sorta floats. Gandalf knocking his head on the beam in the Fellowship was a pretty good goof too. -
Got an episode for Zack's character. His hot cousin Tiffani could show up (really Zack in drag), and all the guys could desperately flirting with her. Hilarity Ensues.
