I'm not much for the grammar and such. My JMC Lab teacher is always like "I love your stories but you need a good editor!" I've always been able to write for school well but I've always made grammar mistakes. I'll probably pick it up better writing for the paper. But now I have to learn AP style.....*looks at AP stylebook*.....damn that things big.

I'm really interested in the Louisville/Boise State matchup. Anyone think they'll reach 100 combined? Hell will they reach 120 combined? Or will Louisville's defense shut Boise State down? Wisconsin vs. Georgia looks like a good one as well. Iowa vs. LSU I want to see. I'll finally be able to put my LSU sign to use. Of course I want to watch all the Big XII teams....wait who's Colorado playing?

Hey I'm just saying what IF that happens with Texas. I'm not saying they'll beat Michigan but I think it'll be closer than everyone thinks. It'll be tied up going into the 4th quarter and Vince Young will be doing just enough to keep them in the game and then Mack Brown will end Chance Mauck into the game to pass and he'll get intercepted and Michigan will start to pull away. Greg Robinson will start cussing and flipping off Michigan fans(no seriously he flipped the bird to OU fans) and Derrick Johnson will dump over the gatorade table while Vince Young cries and Cedric Benson quits and then OU offers Mack 1 million to remain the coach of Texas b/c he's our favorite coach and all. By this time Chance Mauck has thrown 2 pick 6's and the Texas D has folded and Michigan has won 42-21. That's how that game will end.

You can't honestly think that could actually happen, given that you've followed the Big XII for the last two years. Mack Brown hasn't won a single game of any importance at Texas. You know, I do miss MikeSC, if only for the fact that he could argue this much more humourously than I ever could. I'm not saying it's going to happen. I'm just saying that IF it did. I think that Texas actually caught a break going to the BCS b/c this Michigan team isn't as good as it could be. They got beat by ND and Ohio State. Regardless if it was a rivalry game or not Ohio State isn't that good. Plus they almost lost to San Diego State! The Texas defense is good enough to keep them in the game. But the moment Mack Brown starts playing dueling QB's and running draw plays on 4th and 12 I can turn the TV off and know what the result will be.

Yeah I know I'm bias as well but this is the only place that I can get my bias out. I just got a job as an intern for the Oklahoma Daily which is OU's student newspaper. It's like one of the top circulated papers in the state of Oklahoma. So I have to be objective and not bias in the paper. Even though it does cover Sooner Sports it's pretty objective. So I can only be bias online.....damn! At least I get to be on the sidelines for OU football games now!

No they should have there votes made public and I think all Top 15 coaches shouldn't be allowed to vote. Because yeah I mean let's say a certain coaches team has two losses and are ranked #5 behind another 2 loss team. Who's to say he's not going to vote his team #4 or hell even #3!? That's the problem. Coaches who have something at stake in this poll I don't think can make an objective decision and should not be allowed to vote if voting themselves higher will benefit them. There needs to be accountability. Also people want the Rose Bowl tradition to stay but also want a playoff. How the hell do you have a playoff and keep the Rose Bowl tradition alive? I gurantee if we're using the bowls as playoff games then there are going to be some non Pac-10/Big Ten schools matched up in the Rose Bowl. Let's not also forget that the Rose Bowl guys were the ones that agreed to work under this system.

Ok Chris what are you going to do if you wake up and see that Texas blew Michigan out 35-14? Regardless of what everyone says this is a capable team. They aren't a division 1-AA caliber team. Do I think Cal would beat Texas? Probably. Is Cal in the Rose bowl? Nope. Can I do anything about it? Nope.

Well people are complaining about something here they can't change. This is the system you're dealt with. Rather than get mad at the teams involved in it change the system. Everyone is just playing the hand they were dealt. Just like last year with the National Title debacle people are getting mad at the teams. People were getting mad at the teams in 2002 when OU went to The Rose Bowl. It's not the teams fault that they ended up there. Everyone is yelling at Texas. Yeah people are pissing on the system but in the process of pissing on the system they end up looking down there nose at teams that don't deserve all the shit they get. Yeah you can get pissed at Mack Brown for campaigning but somebody listened to him. Some of those coaches and AP voters did it to and you need to hold them accountable. Man now I'm hoping Texas obliterates Michigan. *looks at who there coach is* Oh wait a minute......

The fact is that the Rose Bowl tradition is pretty much finished with it. Everyone is clinging to it but unless we go back to the old system guys I really think it's done. And what I'm pointing out is that the Rose Bowl fans can't seem to handle it when the non Pac-10/Big Ten team win! And if Texas wins there will be an atomic meltdown in Pasadena.

Persecution complex much? Everyone knows that Oklahoma doesn't have a choice in where they go. If traditionalists want to see the Pac-10 or Big Ten team that did get in wax the outsider regardless, don't be shocked. Yeah but the pissing and moaning intensified when OU waxed WSU. And if Texas pounds Michigan there will be a lot more bitching. Hell I bet if Michigan doesn't blow Texas out(which they won't) people will be going nuts.

But the point is that Donovan Woods got in on a secondary that didn't have it's best player and was sticking an obviously shitty player and unready player in his place. With Bassey and Oynegecha out the secondary has looked better regardless of who they were playing. I gurantee you that they wouldn't have given up those long plays with Perkins in. Perkins will probably be all over USC's best wide out all day and Perkins can run with anyone on that team. If Leinart wants to make a big pass play he'd better not throw it in the direction of Perkins. Nor should they kick to Perkins, he tied the record for a reason. USC's had the same defense in all year and they've looked vunerable. OU hasn't had the same defense in all year that's why you can't make a fair judgement off of those two games. With Perkins they would not have given up those big plays. And on top of that once Bassey was out and the Walker kid was in the secondary was improved and Reggie McNeal didn't look so hot. On top of that if Dan Cody gets his hands on Matt Leinart then Leinart won't feel to good the rest of the year. Cody was the one that took KSU's QB out of the game and I believe he was the one that finished Reggie McNeal off to.

Well still the fact remains that people were upset at OU the school and not at the system. Which is complete bullshit. And then people got even more pissed when they bitch slapped the Pac 10 team. Like they were supposed to lay down to show what an injustice that was. The tradition of the Rose Bowl is gone guys. Face it. Teams from other conferences are going to play there from now on. If everyone had gotten there way last year and USC and LSU were going at it in the Sugar Bowl then OU would've been running around in the Rose Bowl for a second straight year and everyone would've bitched about that even if there wasn't a Pac 10 team good enough to play in it. Now I wonder what everyone will say if Texas romps Michigan? The Texas defense is certainly good enough to tear Michigan's head off. It's the offense that will have trouble.

Ok Edwin then if you wouldn't have had a problem with OU going to the Rose Bowl to play Michigan last year then what was with everyone getting mad in 2002 when they went to the Rose Bowl? I remember everyone was angry that a Big XII team was runing the tradition and figured that there Pac 10 represenative would show everyone how it is to be. And then OU obliterated WSU in front of a majority of there fanbase and just pushed them around the field and made them look like shit. Then everyone was MORE pissed off that OU beat up the champions of the Pac 10! So everyone is angry about Texas but I can gurantee you that if they walk in there and hand an ass beating to Michigan that people are going to go into atomic meltdown that that happened! Oh and one more thing about Cal. Yes Texas Tech is not as good as Cal. But Cal had better not sleep on Tech. They had better not going in there thinking they're going to roll over Tech and be thinking about how pissed they are that they aren't at the Rose Bowl. Because if they sleep on Tech they'll get 24 points dropped on them in a hurry b/c that's the kind of offense Tech runs. So yes Cal is getting screwed and yes they are facing a team not as good as them. But they can't sleep on this team b/c it's a dangerous team.

Because people are ignoring things when it comes to OU's defense. They're saying that the secondary is weak but forgetting what was going on during those games. The secondary tightened up against A&M when Bassey was taken out. And now that Perkins is in the game on the other corner as opposed to Oynegecha who spent last year on the bench with an injury at a Junior College in San Fransisco they haven't given up any long plays. The A&M and OSU games are not a good represenative of OU's pass defense b/c they've got totally different players in there now that have tightened it up and made it better.

I don't care what they do. I don't want to watch Texas in the Rose Bowl. I don't want to watch Texas, period. It's as simple as that. As for Rodgers' comments...all I see is someone calling a spade a spade. Well people can't say Texas doesn't deserve to be there if they blast Michigan like OU blasted WSU. People said OU didn't belong in the Rose Bowl and they whipped ass. What happens if Texas beats the hell out of Michigan? Yeah I think Cal should be there over Texas but I swear everyone needs to come down off of there high horse when it comes to this BCS and Rose Bowl deal. If things had worked the way everyone wanted them to last year OU would've been in the Rose Bowl against Michigan and not USC. And everyone would be bitching about the lack of Pac-10/Big Ten matchup.

Yeah but the shots they always show in video game commercials are generally FMV's or different camera angles than what you actually get in the game.

Trev Alberts who spent all season saying OU should be #3 just ran back and said he thinks OU will be favored over USC. Man these ESPN guys change position really quick.

Cal has every right to be pissed but they don't need to whine about it. Aaron Rodgers is calling Mack Brown classless and all of this. As true as that may be it makes him look like a whiner to stand up and say that. Hell I don't see Auburn whining.

The point still is that people are saying OU can't handle USC's offense b/c they gave up big plays when everyone chooses to forget that they didn't have there best player in there plus they had a shitty player in there. Once they took Bassey out everything was fine against A&M. And once Perkins came back the defense was on fire again. So don't point to the A&M and OSU games as an example that OU's secondary isn't up to snuff when they didn't even have their best player out there. On top of that OU isn't going to see a better running back from USC than Cedric Benson. Yeah Bush may be better all around but as pure running backs Lendale White and Reggie Bush are not better than Cedric Benson who OU shut down. Not to mention USC hasn't seen a QB with a big play weapon at every wide out position like Jason White nor have they seen a running back like Adrian Peterson. USC seems to get stunned when someone comes out of the gates and punches them in the mouth. I think OU will hit em' hard early like they did against Colorado and USC will be stunned for a quarter or so. And by then OU will probably have the game in hand. OU by a TD.

The best team OU has played in the past 3 years? LSU might have something to say about that. The LSU defense was better than the SC defense at least. OU has proven you can't run on them. Cedric Benson is more talented a running back than LenDale White and probably more talented as just a RB(notice i didn't say anything else) than Reggie Bush. And he was absolutely stuffed against OU. It's very tough to run the ball against OU. It's nearly impossible to have a huge game running the football. Leinart's going to have to throw it to win this game. And he's going to have that OU defensive line in his face the entire time. USC nearly lost to Cal at home and OU's a better team than Cal. So if USC duplicates their performance that they had against Cal or the one they had against UCLA then they're in for a very long night. USC is going to have to play the best they've played since Carrol becamse coach to win this game. OU will have to play their best to. But don't act like USC can just do what they want and walk away with a victory. That won't happen. Not to mention OU has the intensity edge. USC has just been rolling along all season and hearing how they're #1. They're thinking "Let's just go play our game and we'll win!" OU has heard people say they don't belong here. They're pissed they lost the title last year and they're thinking "We're going to fuck these California boys up!" Hell look what they did to Colorado. I haven't seen OU that fired up in a LONG time. They were thinking about last year's Big XII title game and if they were that fired up after losing just a conference championship imagine how angry they're going to be after losing that national title last year. OU by a TD.

All Michigan has got to do is force Texas to throw. That simple. If they let Young and Benson run all over them then they're in for a bad day. The Texas defense I think can handle Michigan b/c well....they may be overrated but the defense is good and I don't think it's overrated. Especially with Derrick Johnson looking to take Henne and Hart's heads off. I remember when nobody wanted OU in the Rose Bowl against WSU and they ended up turning WSU into their bitch. I wonder if Texas can do that and shut everyone up?

Why does nobody understand the OU secondary was vunerable b/c they were missing their best player and had another shitty player out there? Then when they got back there best secondary player and put in that new kid....wow the secondary was just fine. Hell the secondary was just fine against Texas A&M after the kid got put in. I think you people keep forgetting that little fact when you talk about there defense. Since Perkins came back they've only given up 6 points in 3 games. Leinart's going to be forced to throw pretty much the whole game but he's going to have to do it with Dan Cody in his face. And he's probably going to get driven by Cody a couple times. With Perkins back he's bound to throw at least 1 or 2 INTs. With OU's offense if the offensive line gives White time which I'm sure they will b/c they're the best in the country he can throw it anywhere he wants. He's proven that all of his recievers are big play recievers. On top of that if White's getting pressure he can just give it to Peterson who's proven that he can break multiple tackles and then put on a huge burst of speed. This team gave up 28 to a shitty Stanford team and 24 to UCLA with none of their secondary injured. And neither of those teams has the offensive power that OU does. OU by a TD.
