So who does Florida go after? Steve Spurrier or Bob Stoops? They've already gone after Stoops once and I know any program would love to have him and Florida does want him. But Spurrier is doing nothing right now...

Then they beat KSU twice in 2000. It's harder to beat a team twice b/c they're more out for revenge in that second game and the stakes they have riding on it are just so much higher than they would've had before. But still it is not fair for a team to have to a conference title game. If they're going to do it this way then the NCAA needs to force every conference to expand like the ACC.

Yeah well sometimes you have to beat a team twice to win that conference title game which can be very hard. OU had to beat KSU twice in 2002 and LSU had to beat Georgia twice last year. Beating a team twice is no small feat.

But as it is this is the way the BCS standings should look. OU should be #2 and hopefully they'll solidfy that with road wins over OSU, A&M, and *snicker* Baylor.

If Oklahoma didn't have to play that conference title game last season then they would've outright won the conference. It's not fair that some teams play it and some teams don't. It's easier for the Pac-10 and so on to win their conference b/c they don't have that potential upset game that is looming over there heads. Either everyone plays it or nobody plays it. Until then it's unfair.

They need either everyone to play that game or nobody. It's not fair that teams in the Big XII and SEC could dominate the conference but then get screwed by losing a title game when if they were in the Pac 10 or Big Ten they would win outright. At least the ACC will play one next season. And I will have to agree that this makes little to no sense. It is bizarre. It's almost as if the standings were released and the uproar came and the powers that be behind the BCS freaked and moved OU up. B/c I figured they'd overtake Miami after a tough road win over OSU or A&M not a home game against KU of all people. Weird. Wonder if they're still showing up 5th in some computers?

Just as long as the Red Sox don't go up 3-2 on St. Louis. St. Louis has never lost a series when they're down 3-2. Oh and hopefully the Cardinals don't become the second team to rally back from being down 3-0. That'd be wild though.

I suck at this game. Before I was picking a bunch of games right but just not picking the right ones. I sucked it up this week.

He made a comment before the game that he may have to tack on an extra TD here or there so that pollsters that only see the final score and not the entire game will vote more favorably b/c the score is higher b/c the pollsters seem to only pay attention to final scores. So that's why he did it. So that some coach that didn't watch the game and doesn't know the stats would go "Oh OU blew KU out 41-10! Look at that score!"

I wasn't. I was fine and going on about how it was good that it was close until they started losing off of playing like crap. When it was just KSU being good it was fine. But when OU starte botching coverage I got mad. And even now I'm not mad. I'm glad it was close and glad it was a test. We didn't get a test at all last season. Then we got knocked on our ass by the first team that was able to stand up.

Well I didn't start the fight. He had no reason to start anything but he did.

I was pointing out in the thread that it was a good test and we needed it. But I don't want every game to be close b/c then the pollsters will be like "Well they suck. Time to drop them!"

I'm not complaining. I'm saying it's getting boring. I liked the KSU game b/c it was so close. Hopefully OSU and A&M provide us something worth watching. I'm tired of them playing like crap in the first half b/c they don't give a damn then at the half being like "Oh guess we'd better do something!" Adrian Peterson has gone over 100 in every game he's played in. Yay.

Just got back from the OU/KU game. *yawn* Same old, same old. OU plays like they don't care in the first half. Comes out and beats ass in the second half. Adrian Peterson goes over 100 again and now has over1000 on the season. Jason White throws for nearly 400 yards. 41-10 Sooners. *yawn*

OU/Miami........defensive battle of the century. Final score 3-0 in favor of whoever.

Well yeah those 3 could go undefeated. Who does Miami face that's difficult for the rest of the season though? And on top of that out of the 3 you mentioned OU has the least chance to be undefeated b/c they have to go to Stillwater and go to College Station which are now proving to be not easy tasks.

I'm going to the KU game. Good easy game this week....can sit back and relax. Though the guys on the field better not.

Oh my god. I just started watching baseball this season. But I've always had a thing for Boston and it's teams. I immediately latched to the Sox before I KNEW anything of a curse or of ALCS Game 7 last year. I said "that's my team. The Boston Red Sox!" then I learned all about the history and it reinforced what I was saying. "THAT'S MY TEAM!" And now I can't believe it. Best time to be a Red Sox fan.
