Yeah I know that. But Bob Stoops is like 61-11 in 6 years at OU. So I mean he may be on pace to blow Switzer out of the water. And if Jason White wins the Heisman again or hell if Adrian Peterson wins it before he's gone then Stoops has those to add to his credentials.

I don't take it as a knock. Like I said. Switzer was a jerk. And I know why he was on probation in the 70's. Looking through some old record books they were on probation for using an ineligible player and had to forfeit a game they won. I don't really think that doesn't mean he didn't earn the national titles that he did win. But I mean I wonder who the ineligible player was. Oh and 1988...is that why we sucked in the 90's? Oh wait that was b/c we had horrible coaches! It's funny. When Bob Stoops came to Norman everyone was like "Who is this guy!? He's never been a head coach! SHIT!"

I'll spell it out.Switzer was a cheater. Oklahoma was on probation one year while he was coach, and more importantly on probation after he left the school. It took over 10 year for Stoops to turn the program around. How did he cheat? I don't really like the guy much b/c he's such an ass, that and he coached the Dallas Cowboys who I hate. But he's like a legend around here so I don't get to hear about his dark side.

Well everyone asks like they intentionally have a weak schedule. No they stated that they scheduled those 3 non-conference teams b/c they thought they would be better and all 3 were in Bowl Games last season. And they can't helpo if there conference decided to suck.

Nah if Texas beats Oklahoma I'll just be like "LOSERS!" and move on to wishing for next season to get here. No Flyboy has stated before that he watches OU games hoping for them to lose. So he must have something against them if he's doing that. Oh and there schedule is no weaker than USC's. SC plays Cal, ND, and VT. OU plays Texas, OSU, and Nebraska and they scheduled Oregon thinking they'd be better.

Oh well excuse the fuck out of us. We scheduled the 3 non-conference opponents based off the fact that they all played in Bowl Games last season. Nobody knew they would suck total ass this year. Nebraska will be a challenge. Nebraska is always a challenge. OSU and A&M will be hard to. Jesus Flyboy what the hell do you have against OU anyways? And don't say it's b/c I like them so much. You seriously have some kind of hatred for them that I can't explain.

Now which title did Switzer not win fair and square? Speaking of these old school coaches. How about Bear Bryant? Best NCAA coach ever?

The Celtics are my favorite team. But lately I've had this draw to Houston. Something about Houston makes me feel all funny inside....

When does the actual season start again?

Was winning the national title not as important in the old days? Or was it just more mythical? B/c I see some of these teams called "Elite" and "Powerhouse" and then they only have like 1 National Title. Or is it just winning seasons and bowl games you're using to determine this?

The BCS hurts my head. When they started explaining why USC wasn't in the National Title game last year and showing all the different games that had an impact on there destiny it just made my head hurt. "Ok so b/c America invaded Iraq USC lost 2 points but b/c Freddy Adu kicked a goal in this game USC gained 3 points....."

Switzer was an asshole anyways.....I know that has nothing to do with his coaching ability.....but the guy was a jerk. Anyone I know that knows him HATES him.

Yeah I miss the fact that we get to play each other every year. That's what makes this conference so hard. The teams in it may not be world beaters but they all seem to spend the whole season gunning for us. I swear OSU's season is judge a pass or failure depending on if they beat us or not. Course I guess Ohio State and Michigan feel the same way about one another. Rivalries....what makes College FB the best.

...Texas wasn't in the same conference as OU until 1996 Thus while the RRS was important to OU's overall standing, it had no effect on the conference I know that. But the Big 8 and SW conference usually battled one another if I'm not mistaken.

What we need is another mean son of a bitch like Bear Bryant to coach.

See Teke that's the funny thing. Oklahoma was dominant back in the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's but they didn't dominate there conference b/c teams like Nebraska, A&M, and Texas were hanging around. These days those teams have taken a dive.....well except Texas. So I dunno.....that's kind of funny for some reason. When I'm born OU starts to suck when I'm old enough to comprehend football and then whenever I'm actually going to OU....they have nobody else in the conference! I should've grown up back in the day....... And I tried the Search Engine thing. No luck. Figured one of you would know somewhere. And I don't have ESPN Classics.

So nobody knows of any good tape selling sites I can use to get my hands on some of these classic teams?
