Well stop acting like there's something wrong with me for liking the movie. And I actually don't think it was badly made, that's why I enjoyed it. There were parts that could've been better and more suspense like in Signs but I don't think it was this complete failure of modern film making that you're making it out to be. So stop acting insulting b/c I like the movie(that's directed at everyone). I liked it. Nothing wrong with me for that. If you have a problem with me liking it then go to hell.

Yes, there is something wrong with you. It sucked ass. No this is where we come into something called a difference of opinion. In your opinion you thought the movie sucked. In my opinion I thought it was entertaining.

Well I've been here for 5 years(oh god...i need a new internet hangout)and this animosity has always been there. Hey at least the mods aren't banning people for 0 reason like SK did. And I didn't think we had a door........and you'd think it'd be more fancy.

Where was M. Night in the movie? I actually have no clue what the dude looks like......and where was he in Signs?

I'll admit as someone that views Tyson as a huge comedy figure I was laughing about the loss. But finding out that he was injured takes all the fun out of it......

I saw it today.....oh god it was fucking funny. What was the deal with everyone talking about there favorite place to hang out? Mine's IHOP......hmmm.....make a movie about a bunch of guys that just sit in IHOP all night.......that might actually be funny. Me and my friend Chris were joking b/c in Oklahoma there are no Jack in the Boxes but they're everywhere in Texas. So we were joking about a "Dama and Chris go to Jack in the Box." but we're not stoners......just drunkards. So the movie would revolve around copious amounts of drunk driving.

Well I've went back and read the series and while still enjoyable I can see it's many(and i mean many) faults: -it dragged way to long. The heroes just looked like fools. They outnumbered Carnage and his crew but everytime they fought Carnage got the upper hand and escaped. -people just came out of the woodworks to help fight but they were marvel's B-list of superheroes with the exception of Captain America. -the death toll got astronomical and it seemed that they destroyed and set fire to nearly every part of New York City. You're telling me with that many people dying and that much property damage that the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men wouldn't have run to the rescue? I mean they gave an excuse that most of them were off saving the world....but come on......all of them at once!? -The dialogue from Carnage and his crew was just absurdly corny. All of the stuff about there "family" and going on during the fight about how they should've raised the kids better and then acting like there killing spree was some kind of a field trip complete with corny dialogue almost made me have to close the issues. -there were no after-effects. The series ended and NYC magically had all of the people that lived there back and the property damage was magically fixed all in the blink of an eye. -the way they defeated most of his crew in issue 13 drove me insane. A freaking good ray of light or something? Oh come on! -i don't have part 14 so i have no clue how Carnage was finally beaten by Spider Man and Venom...maybe someone can shed some light on that.

Wow I wonder where these theaters are where these people are crying for M's head? Because here it was either met with "that was good" or "eh....." I didn't hear anybody going on about how much it sucked like everyone else seems to have heard.

I've always thought that it'd take one curse to break another curse...... I like this trade. I wanted Nomar run out of town as soon as I found out his feelings were hurt by the ARod talks. I was like "Ah fuck.....I know how people play when they're pissed at the team."

He has made awesome movies. Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and Signs were all awesome. While The Village wasn't awesome it was still good. I don't see where everyone gets this "he's a hack" stuff at. I think it's more the "hate what everyone else likes to be different" thing than anything else. Hey maybe some people have legitimate hate but for the most part that seems to be why a lot of people hate him. But I'm going to go see Harold and Kumar tonight to see what all the buzz is about.

That game is hard as hell though.....jeez.....many a controller has been hurled while playing it.

Actually........ When she first runs into the monster she remembers him saying "there were legends i read in history books of monsters in the woods" and that made me think "Oh so they are real....." That's why that part was suspenseful. And I'm insulted that you feel sorry for me as if I'm some kind of an idiot for liking that part. That was very insulting as a matter of fact. And Jonathan...... You're the Sakura of the Movie-DVD-TV forum, in the sense that your opinion is so often such a minority that nobody cares what you think (blue spandex, damnit!). I guess that's the point. No offense, of course. Actually you're acting more like Sakura than me. You just flat out say "that movie sucked" as if it's a fact. So I'm saying "Well I enjoyed it." So what does that mean? I'm some kind of moron for liking these movies you claim "suck" as if it's a fact?

Well just because you hate it doesn't mean everyone else did. There were others(see: me and my friends) that enjoyed it and I'm sure we aren't the only ones out there.

Who's the 3rd symbiote? Never heard of it. I remember Seperation Anxiety with the million different symbiotes. And then the shitty story "Planet of the symbiotes". I don't think Carnage is that shitty of a villain. I've always found him to be entertaining and I love the things he can do with his costume and the way it seems more alive than Venom's. However they wouldn't have had to create Carnage if they hadn't watered down Venom.

Am I the only person in the world that thought this was a good movie? Oh well my friends that were with me thought it was good.......oh well.....at least I enjoyed myself......

I think you are right Steviekick. There seemed to be no real mention of it afterwards and everytime I saw Carnage after this he seemed watered down and just didn't seem cool anymore. I guess I foudn it hard to believe when I was a kid(and still do) that it took them so long to defeat him(14 parts) and every other time he appears he's easily dispatched in like 2-3 parts.

Wow Downhome......I disagree with everything you said. They talk that way and it sounds goofy b/c they're a bunch of modern Pennsylvanians who moved out into the country and modeled there lifestyle after a book. It sounds goofy b/c it's not there natural way of saying things and they more than likely got it from a book. I don't think we were meant to take it sersiouly. And second of all the part where you died laughing about the part where she confessed her love.......you were supposed to laugh at it. She was supposed to sound corny and stupid as evidenced by his facial expression. Don't know how that one went over your head. In closing......I disagree with everything you said....I had the complete opposite reaction and I loved the movie. And I thought it was very well put together. The only complaint I had was that he could've drawn the suspense out in some parts and made it a little more suspenseful like Signs was. B/c Signs had me on the edge of my seat for most of the movie.

Ok since I just got back into comic books I've been looking around at various websites and all of the Spider Man sites call Maximum Carnage a "14-part crappy wankfest". And it seems a lot of people on the Spider-Man team hated the story arc. Now this was one of my favorite story arc's(and games) when I was like 10 so I decided to go back and read it just now. So far I haven't found anything to terribley offensive about it except maybe the fact that EVERYONE shows up at one time or another. But other than that I thought it was mindless fun. So what's the hate for?

Eh......I didn't think Signs was bad. I enjoyed Signs and I usually don't see why people hate it. I liked it. Just b/c there wasn't a twist and the Aliens didn't turn into gigantic brain suckers that had an all out war with everything and anything......... I liked it. And I liked The Village.

Matrix Revolutions bad? This made sense.....Matrix Revolutions was just a pile of crap with no discernable beginning or end to its crap. Oh and I still liked the movie. Even if I figured it out I still found it very entertaining. It wasn't as suspensful as Signs and I think he could've easily made it like that.....and I wish he had. But Signs had the freaky guitar riff.......
