Bruce wrote the song for the soundtrack of some movie...I think maybe a Nightmare on Elm Street flick? Anyway, he wrote it, and released it, then Steve Harris heard it, and was like "Hey, that'd be a good Maiden track" so Bruce's original version was pulled off the shelves and the Maiden version was recorded and rushed out. The song was never intended to be on Tattooed Millionaire, as it was basically recording the song that led to Bruce doing the album in the first place. At least, that's what I recall from the interview with Bruce on his Best Of double-album. I could be off, but that's the jist of it. Hey Slayer, didja give a good listen to the new BG yet? I listened to it pretty much straight-through the other day whilst going for a walk. Pretty good, but it seems like there's a little extra cheese, even for BG. Like, I had to skip a song or two, which I thought was odd.

Okay, I think I missed something. Who's the other criminal, who's face like, flashed back and forth with Micheal's? Last night was an awesome episode though. I was on the edge of my seat for half of it.

I found it really odd that in the earlier AD episodes, Roger always had to be in some elaborate disguise so that no one would realize he's an alien. Now a wig and a goateee make it impossible to tell that he's gray with bizarre proprtions.

Everyone who thinks Paschendale isn't one of Maiden's best tracks ever is out of their minds. There, I said it. Seriously though, I think I'd agree that BNW is better then DoD, but not by very much. I think both the albums are damned good, and since I've had less then a week to be able to listen to and judge AMOLAD, I wouldn't say it blows those albums out of the water. I may indeed decide that it is a better album when I've had more time to ponder on it, but not right now. Also, I don't get saying that Bruce's voice has more power to it then normal; his voice sounds a little more buried in the mix then I'm used to. Mebbe that's just my imagination though...

I found it today for only 11.99, plus tax. I nearly shat. It is pretty damned good; "For the Greater Good of God" rocks. Also, while looking for this CD, I found out that Blind Guardian have a new CD out too. Haven't listened to that one yet though.

Only if the people in charge try to make it impossible to get the originals. As long as the originals are around in some form, I can't see any reason to complain.

Have you never seen Carlito? I swear, the first week or two I saw Carlito it was like "Hey look, it's Rock Ramone." He's always struck me as a little bit of the Rock (cocky heel who refers to himself in third person) with a little bit of Razor (From the same general area kayfabe-wise, likes to spit in people's faces (and yeah I know Ramone threw the toothpick, he didn't spit it, but the botom line is the same; tosses his gimmick in someone's face as a show of arrogance)).

They do get at least some bad press though, because some sports "writers" are old farts who's heads are too far up their asses for them to actually get out and do even the tiniest bit of research on the sport before they badmouth it and claim that it's not a sport for reasons I still can't comprehend.

Yeah, but "Talking to Americans" wasn't history questions. It was things like "78% of Canadian students can't find their home *state* on a map; what do you think of that?" That was one of my favourites mostly for the one guy who went off about "How can anyone be so ignorant of the world around them?", and the little kid who, while his mother was pondering the question, went "HEY! Canada has provinces!" "Do you think the seal hunt in Saskatchewan should be banned?" Then you've got people saying things like "Congratulations Canada, on getting electricity!" I mean, I can understand your average American not knowing when Canada became a nation, but telling George W. Bush that Prime Minister Jean Poutine supports his campaign, and hearing Bush say what a great person he is, etc....that's funny.

Yeah, RotK is about 4 hours long, extended.

No, what I mean is, I'm assuming that they're in the care of the Others, and the Others won't let anyone else hurt her, because they want her for something. And the Others seem to be pretty good at not getting themselves killed. And yeah, Sun's hot, but I still prefer Kate.

I guess that kinda depends on the Others though; I mean, they've got Kate now, and probably for a reason. Barring unforseen circumstances, I don't think they'd let Kate die. She better not die though. I need someone to gawk at.

The evil was beaten in large part by luck though, and I kinda agree with Jingus on that point; it is sort of a silly way to end it. But I suppose Frodo wrestling Gollum and Gollum falling over the edge is better then the was it was written, which was, if memory serves, Gollum getting the Ring, and dancing like a maniac until he just fell off. Also Jingus, the extended versons are like, 35, 40, and 50 minutes longer, respectively. I think it is worth your while to see them at least once, because even though there's not anything huge that you miss, there's a lot of little things. For example, the Elven rope that Sam had; in the extended versions, you not only see him get the rope, but you are shown some of the rope's magical abilities. Nothing totally necessary, but it does add to the films in certain ways. Well, okay, there is one huge part you miss, and that's what happens to Saurumon in RotK. Also, the Mouth of Sauron is in the extended versions, and he kicks ass.

But that would have rendered the magic spell on the Ring kinda pointless. The whole point was that the ring couldn't be destroyed, as it's power was too great for anyone to resist for long. Thus, it's destruction had to be an accident. No one had the willpower to deliberately destroy it.

FUCK RIGHT OFF. That video ruled the school.

I find that strip especially funny after reading that it was basically Waterson's arguments with the syndicate over liscencing. "SOMETIMES THAT'S JUST THE WAY THINGS ARE!" I think my favourite is the one where he's asking his mother when she's going shopping again, and when she asks why, he walks in the room with a football helmet on and two pillows tied around himself, and says "We seem to be out of gunpowder". "I didn't even do anything yet!"

Whenever someone mentions the name of the most recent annoying pop musicians, I get a smug feeling of self-satisfaction for not knowing who the fuck they're talking about.

Even though you have to assume that some people got all these questions right, the fact that ANYONE thinks that there was three world wars is just plain SAD.

The last strip is the one that ends with "It's a magical world out there Hobbes....Let's go exploring!" and they ride their sled off into the distance. It's in the collection titled "It's a Magical World", I do believe.
