Note to the haters: Steelers *always* play down to sucky opponents. Don't read too much into this game. Special teams alone kept the Giants in this one, and nonetheless, they pulled it out. You're grasping for straws if you think this is the BEGINNING OF THE END for the Steelers.

Pussy. I had to do a 10 page term paper and study for (and take!) two exams over a 24 hour period and I got an A on all of them with no sleep. -
Regarding the TE holding on the long Jordan run during the Steelers' game, you guys are seriously being ridiculously biased yourselves by not admitting that perhaps he shouldn't have put himself in the situation to begin with. It's a completely, unquestionably legit block.......... if he doesn't have his fucking hands on Porter's back and shoulder pads. You let your hands slip outside of the numbers, and you're more than likely going to get called for holding. That's how it's been in the NFL for quite a few years now. Some of the penalties you guys are complaining about are just plain laughable; 6ish were pre-snap penalties (yeah, that's half of them, for those of you keeping track) and the PI/Illegal Contact penalties, you can thank the Indy Colts for them. Quite frankly, going by the rulebook, they were penalties. It doesn't matter if braindead Phil Simms doesn't think so.

Jacksonville did. Don't get me started on all of the Jags' holding in pass pro
-
No reserve on ebay typically means that there's no minumum price that the seller has set for bidding, it doesn't have anything to do with the pass itself.

Yes, the Steelers WOULD have something to say about that! But yeah, the first thing I thought when I heard this was "How in the hell can they afford 52 players with Manning's and now Harrison's contracts?"

Is there any way to get the fuck out of the MAC, by the way? -

I got the top two QB prospects in the nation (both!) last year, ironically. Now, of course, one wants to transfer, but I managed to convince both to stay since I figure one will leave early. And I have the same "problem" at DE, where I managed to recruit two atheletes who translated to undersize 95 defensive ends, which made my recruiting of, oh, 9 80-92 defensive ends useless. What depth, right? -

What team are you? I sometimes have problems getting very many people if I spend a lot of points on a "need" position. I also have the problem of not very many people having initial interest in my school (Miami of Ohio) and having to waste a lot of points swaying a "normal" interest person to Ohio. But I end up getting ALL of the defensive recruits (since I'm basically the defensive capital of the world on that game and I blitz a lot, which the recruits love) and maybe one of the skill positions, but rarely a good offensive lineman. I'm usually fine pulling away 10 recruits a year, but I'd rather have a lot more -

Part of that is also what results from corporations becoming increasingly multinational. -

We'll see. Pitt's a better team this year, if that's possible; Taft is truly looking like a lottery pick and Krauser's even better. I'd be interested to see them face each other because you've got to beat the best to be in charge of that gay cliche. -
That I'll agree with. But I think it's hilarious for the wrong reasons.

Nah, I was pissed more because they played wretched that game. Of course I've forgiven my alma mater. They're my team, man; the Steelers sucked last year, but that doesn't mean I'm down on them when they're 11-1. -
Yeah, he's a producer for most of his tracks. He was rapping on "Stop Fuckin Wit Me". He's the only person on the track. And it sucks.

Fair enough. As you can see, I interpreted your comments as weak dollar = good, which you apparently weren't saying. You ARE spot on with the analysis of the Asian markets, being that their currencies crashed when the IMF laid down the law; however, my analysis (which is part my own, part Friedman's) was regarding the results of having weak currency. Basically arguing the same thing on different terms. Also, looking at your analysis of weak dollar vs. debt, part of my point was that the weaker the dollar gets, the more likely the risk is going to be overwhelming for the investors; thus, we'd have to raise interest rates to encourage investment, and thus continuing the downward spiral. Just clarifying my point -
Eh, I didn't know how it was spelled. Whatever. Doesn't make this particular song any less wretched.

You can be black, white, yellow, red, or green and it'll still suck. I'm actually a rap fan, and I go to clubs (yes, the ones those crazy blackies go to). I understand all sides of the argument for and against "STOP FUCKIN WIT ME" and quite frankly, the arguments for it are crushed like a fucking boulder stomping an ant. The beat isn't that good, the lyrics are wretched, and Lil' Jon's scream-chant garbage just sounds horribly stupid in that piece. And this is coming from someone who actually likes half of his stuff.

The most annoying part of FieldTurf is all the little rubber pellets that you get all over you when you fall, haha. -

This year, I'm almost convinced that scoring won't be a problem. Taft is a fucking force and Krauser is only getting better.
