  1. He was on the ballot. ... Do you just make shit up half the time?
  2. What pisses me off about this is that Edwards territory is coming up with mostly southern states coming up. It makes no sense for him to drop out at this point, especially since there is (well, was... until he dropped out) bound to be buyer's remorse about Kerry once people start to realize just how weak of a candidate he is. My bet is that he got an offer from Kerry if he dropped out now. But MEH.
  3. I don't feel like reading this entire thread, so if some other clever soul posted this, forgive me. http://www.theonion.com/news.php?i=1&n=1
  4. In football, coaching is EVERYTHING. Game planning, defensive schemes, strategies to take advantage of the other teams' weaknesses and mask your own... In other sports, I'd imagine they are overrated. But not in football.
  5. What's disappointing is the fact that you morons seem to think we'd overlook this just because she's black or a democrat. This is absurd, she should step down for being a racist fuckhole.
  6. I ended up with a 1420, and I slept through half of one of the math sections. I never bothered to take it again, since that was more than enough to get accepted into the college I currently attend.
  7. ...why are you waiting for me to explain it? Back when I posted that Dean had plenty of money, he was focusing his resources on Wisconsin. When you, y'know, focus your resources, you end up... like... SPENDING MONEY! Whoa.
  8. Ugh, how the hell am I gonna wait more than a month to watch the next episode after THAT?
  9. Three words. Tin. Foil. Hat. THEY'RE OUT THERE.
  10. Yes, that's the just of it. They do not have to recognize marriages or unions between same-sex individuals. So if that's the case, why do we need, as Marney said... That's just redundant legislation.
  11. Wasn't part of that cleared up by the Defense of Marriage Act, stating that states didn't have to accept out of state marriages? Honest question, I don't know the answer.
  12. Nader had promised not to run if Dean was the nominee, if I'm not mistaken. I remember a quote from him a few months back praising Dean and declaring his intention not to run if he won. So, he didn't, and he is. Again, it won't really matter if Roy Moore does, in fact, run a third party ticket as well.
  13. The difference, of course, is that liberals on this board don't start their own topics to post an op ed piece or to rag on Bush for every little thing. You, on the other hand, have about fifteen topics on the front page about smarmy topics such as "DEMOSPALTS LYING" to Kerry whining to whatever else comes up on a Townhall.com op-ed column that you find catchy and smarmy enough for yourself at that current time. Just... stop. You're being a total douche.
  14. Starting a thread and calling it "Kerry Whining" isn't exactly condusive to good discussion, now is it? If you want to start tons of threads bashing your opposition, that's your preoggative. It's just really fucking stupid and equates to flame baiting.
  15. The thread in and of itself was a flame-baiting thread, so why does it surprise you that in it, people are flame baiting?
  16. The Nader vote will likely be cancelled out by 10 Commandments Roy Moore, who looks like he's going to run a third party candidacy as well.
  17. It shouldn't be. What other countries in the world let immigrants be their top executive?
  18. Actually, they only get state and federal taxes back... which isn't even close to the amount of Medicare, Social Security, or any other taxes taken out of their paychecks. But whatever, fuck the poor. Fuck them up their poor asses.
  19. And the wealthy pay MORE taxes. INCLUDING income taxes. They pay their share. Heck, they pay more than their share. -=Mike So do lower income folks. Most of their paycheck gets gouged by payroll taxes.
  20. "Tax breaks to people that don't pay taxes" is the biggest bullshit talking point I've ever heard. They pay plenty of taxes. Simply not income taxes.
  21. Ah, and 'twas I who registered the Elk's board name on IGN, and Merc and I who took the joke about ten times farther than it should've gone, including cutting promos as the elk and making random appearances. *sob*
  22. *shakes head*
