The Pittsburgh media hasn't been going after him, per se, but they've been positioning themselves to do so. There have been lots of stories about "redemption" and the glove, and "he was terrible, but he gets another chance to prove himself as not-a-choker" type stuff. They will turn on him if he doesn't win this one.
