Forget about HHH vs. Umaga, Orton vs. Lawler Mickie vs. Trish, Diva Search, Rey/Chavo/Eddie, RAW or SD this week. My attention is focused on ECW, with Sabu vs. Angle, CM Punk, and so on.

Stay away from the second Def Jam. The first one is fucking great though, and it's a perfect example of how the old style of wrestling games can work for the PS2 and on.

Anyone else here looking forward to this one? I haven't looked forward to a game this much in years and years. I downloaded the demo on Live a few nights ago and I just can't get enough of it. It isn't perfect, and it might get repetitive after a while (based on the demo that is, there's far more to the game than what we see in the demo), but who the fuck cares? It's a bunch of zombies in a mall! Here are a few of the reviews so far: IGN - 8.3 http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/723/723910p1.html GameBrink - 80% http://www.gamebrink.com/xbox-360/1697-Dea...ng-reviews.html 1UP - 84% http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3152674 Team Xbox - 87% http://reviews.teamxbox.com/xbox-360/1203/Dead-Rising/p1/ I can't wait to run around the mall like Mega Man! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v638/the...0_screen027.jpg

This is true, but it isn't like Melinda and Melinda or Winter Passing really made any sort of impact. Not the kind that he really needs anyway. I didn't see the STF trailer before Ricky Bobby either, I saw it before MSEG just like you. I think he'll end up shocking people just like Jim Carrey has done time and time again, but he needs to do so in something a bit more mainstream before it really matters.

ECW in Poplar Bluff, Missouri House Show results
Downhome replied to TheTomster's topic in The WWE Folder
PWInsider says that his bump was something along the lines of the bump that Benoit dished out to Sabu, you know the one I'm talking about. Angle/Benoit did continue the match though, although the match did get cut short. HOWEVER, they do say that RVD is perfectly fine, and the only time he might miss is just the next house show or two, just to rest it up just to make sure everything is cool. Sounds like a damn close call though. -
That's true, but in just the trailer they show her death, so she may not be in it very much, unless it's as a flashback or a ghost.

I hated Kicking and Screaming. To me it just felt like yet another shitty "kids in sports with a wacky coach" flick. I just about like Bewitched better than that one.
-
So Chavo is the face in this feud, right?

Pulse is only PG-13? The last I heard it was R, WTF? There goes any interest I had in that one.

Erica was bad. JT is just a damn retard.
-
Erica is so so so horrible.

That would actually make for a pretty cool angle. Then near the end of it they could have someone who is really, really all for USA enter the feud. Maybe someone so pro-USA that he's a heel.

I saw this flick earlier today, and I give it two thumbs up. I'd go as far to say that it was funny as hell. It made me laugh and entertained me, so I can't complain about anything. There really isn't much more to say other than that. If you like "Will Ferrell comedies" then you'll like this one. The entire Nascar deal is just the package that the Ferrell comedy is wrapped in, so it doesn't matter if you are into Nascar or not. On the other hand, if you hate Will Ferrell, then I doubt you'll get much out of it. You know what you're getting into when you go to see this one. The only downside to Will Ferrell is that he's not unlike Jim Carrey. Over the years, Jim Carrey got to the point where people started referring to his flicks as "Jim Carrey films", I'm sure you know what I mean by that. To get out of that he started a string of different types of flicks like The Truman Show, Man On the Moon, The Majestic, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Sure, he's had a few "Jim Carrey comedies" tossed into that string somewhat (although most have been way tamed down), but he realized that he really needed to do something to keep that tag from being set in stone, and if you ask me it worked. Will Ferrell is in the same sort of situation that Jim Carrey was a few years ago. I think that Ferrell's Stranger Than Fiction will be his first step towards doing the same thing that Carrey did. I guess time will tell if he will be as successful.

Is it wrong if I wouldn't mind seeing Tatanka make it to the US title?
-
Layla is so fucking hot, I'm sure we'll be seeing her in WWE, regardless of if she wins or not. Hell, two of the Diva Search "losers" have already been offered contracts.

I find it funny that Mike points out that it was bad of Batista to throw the bottle back but didn't point out that Batista also went out and gave high fives to people in the crowd as well. He did point that out, and mentioned hugs as well. That's just not as interesting to point out here, now is it?
-
I'm listening to the PWInsider audio by Mike Johnson who was live at the show, and he said at the end of the night while fans were tossing stuff in the ring, at one point Batista got so ticked about it he actually picked up a bottle that someone tossed in the ring, and threw it back out into the crowd. That is stupid as hell for him to do something like that. He also said that a number of fans stood up with their backs to the ring when the main event started. Also, at the end of the show a fan tossed a chair but instead of making it to the ring it hit another fan, and that led to a fist fight between the two fans. At that point, Mike says that he got out of there.

Dave Meltzer! :-p Blue Meanie posts on it, at least the last I heard he did.

James Beard is really deserving of a job in WWE. He's a great ref (his spot in the RAW match where he used the SS megaphone to tell them to leave ringside was just about the highlight of the match), and really knows how to do his job, so I sure hope that he isn't hurting his chances by what he's posting in the following thread: http://wrestlingclassics.com/.ubb/ultimate...ic;f=1;t=068927 He continues on about the Shannon Moore/CW match: And then later in the thread he posts: So he points out that if hired, he would be much more discreet concerning WWE issues, yet he goes on talking about all of this before he's even hired? I don't think it's a big deal, but you just know that some people in WWE could get pissed off about all of this, and it could even cost the guy a job. On a side note, I'm really really happy about Scott Armstrong getting a job in WWE/ECW. Many of you might not care, but it's really cool news to me.

From PWInsider: [qutoe]After ECW on Sci Fi went off the air, Big Show and Batista, standing on opposite sides of the ring on the floor pointed at each other and teased getting in the ring, as the fans booed the. They entered the ring, went face to face, and then smiled at each other. They shook hands and hugged while fans threw garbage at them. Show and Batista then walked around ringside, giving high fives to some fans, while others threw garbage and cursed them out. There definitely was a split reaction to them from the crowd. Before finally exiting, Big Show picked up the microphone and said "Seriously guys, from the bottom of my heart ... you can all kiss my ass". Fit Finlay and Simon Dean were backstage at the show. Diva Search contestant Rebecca (who was eliminated yesterday) was sitting in one of the balconies. The crowd was a mix of old-school ECW fans who weren't going to give any "WWE guys" a chance, and WWE fans who reacted positively to the Smackdown stars on the show.

Nope. David Flair

Me likey Cena, me likey Cena!

You don't get it, it's funny. It's ECW fans, wanting to cheer for ECW. They cheer the old ECW guys, guys like Punk who have no ties to WWE, and even Angle since he's just so fucking good. They book TBS and Batista because they stand for what WWE is all about, and even more so their match as a whole. They book Kendrick/London because they're the WWE Smackdown TAG TEAM CHAMPS, they are totally WWE. They were booing where they are from, WWE, not the workers. My God.
