  1. "You can put your head in it!"
  2. "I will dig up Johnnie Cochran if I have to!" - JBL
  3. This is simply fantastic. JBL is buying a pair of Lita's panties, after smelling them of course.
  4. Seems like they're trying to make up for the shitty matches they've had in the past. Mickie wins, and it wasn't that bad of a match to be honest.
  5. Benoit beats Chavo, thank God.
  6. Anyone here want the stream?
  7. He also had some sort of growth removed from around his freakin' spine, and they thought it might be cancer. I think I heard yesterday or the day before that they got the results back and it was benign, thank God.
  8. Yeah, don't get carried away. Things have changed a hell of a lot, and in the long run a single win over someone else doesn't really mean all that much. With so many shows in this era a big win, even someone beating Taker at WM, just wont have the same effect as it did back in the day. I've gone over all of this before. Blah blah blah, few things mean anything anymore, blah blah blah, almost nothing in wrestling is sacred anymore, blah blah blah, not even the world titles, blah blah blah, so why not let Taker keep the streak since it wont really truly help anyone like it would've years ago, blah blah blah. Give it to someone like Batista is just an example of them trying to push him on the fans against their will. Weren't they cooling off on Batista just a number of weeks ago anyway?
  9. I've always been against ending the streak, I just don't see the point. I only mention KK because if they are going to do it anyway, he's the only one right now in the entire company that I'd be the less pissed about doing it.
  10. As of right now, Ken Kennedy is the only guy who I'd be willing to accept to end Taker's streak, and even then I don't think it's something that needs to be done. KK is forming a history with Taker right now, so it would only make sense for them to continue their feud, especially since KK has already mentioned the streak I believe. Having Batista be the guy is one of the stupidest things I've heard in a long time having to do with WWE.
  11. I can't even think of the words to comment on that plan...
  12. I love Sabu, always have, but I wont feel sorry for him at all if he blows this shot. His career was given new life, and he had Vince behind him, and now this. I don't see how anyone could feel sorry for the guy if he ends up totally fucking this up.
  13. This might not be a huge deal right now, but it sure isn't the best news to hear. From PWInsider: -Just like in ECW where Kurt Angle was giving "advice" to workers about stuff they should and shouldn't do in matches, telling them spots, and other various things that pissed off a bunch of guys since they had been in the industry even longer than Kurt Angle, the same thing is starting to happen in TNA. It defiantly happened backstage at the Philly show and the Genesis PPV. Some have put it like Kurt Angle is now walking around backstage as if he owns the entire company, as if TNA is his company. He was giving out finishes, telling people about spots they should do and points that they should hit in their promos. The younger guys were taking the advice, and accepting it as a guy who knows what he's talking about and were just going with it and were pretty much open to it all. The older guys, the veterans who have been around in TNA longer than Angle, or who have just been in the business longer than him period, they're looking at it like he's out of his mind, and quite a few people have noticed that Angle's actions is getting under Jeff Jarett's skin big time. Some people are wondering how long it's going to be until there is a confrontation, a power struggle, between Angle and JJ. It could be nothing, it could just be Angle being excited and anxious, or it could just be that Dixie told him to do whatever he wants to do to try and help the company. Either way, a lot of people notice this right now, and it's the same sort of thing that was going on in ECW that we all heard about before. And then just one more quick TNA note from PWInsider: -It was very chaotic backstage at the recent Impact tapings. It's rumored that Vince Russo showed up to the show with several two hour scripts for TV, thinking that Impact was now a two hour show. This led to creative being forced to do some really quick cut jobs on the shows that were scripted, and to edit six hours of TV down to three. They say that they've asked around and people in the company say that isn't true, but it's the story going around among the wrestlers. No matter if that Vince Russo story is true or not, the fact is that it was indeed a very disorganized Impact taping.
  14. To continue the story on Sabu and his place in WWE right now, read on. From PWInsider: -Already mentioned is his showing up late to shows and sleeping at the tapings for several hours, all of which led to him being squashed by Umaga. To make matters worse, he did not work the recent ECW tapings. After the taping, there was going to be promotional stuff taped to promote for the Elimination Chamber match, to put over how dangerous and hardcore the match is, and Sabu blew it off. He just left the show, and was gone even before the RVD/Holly match took place. With the way things are still going, it doesn't look good for Sabu right now.
  15. The deal seems to be dead now. I received shipping notification emails earlier today for all three sets.

    Wii

I'm still Wiiless as well, yet I already own Zelda and Red Steel (pre-ordered from FamilyVideo). I really want one, you all know how I was talking about it before the release, but I don't want one bad enough to wait in line for hours and hours.
  17. I don't usually post the deals I see on other boards or stumble across myself since most here don't seem to care, but I thought this one was too good to not post: Beavis and BUTT-Head The entire sale
  18. Alright, from PWInsider: -The special Christmas RAW for the troops will be a mixture of all of the talent this year. -Last night RVD was told that he is expected to make the trip this year. If you remember, two years ago RVD refused to do so. He was very pissed last night after being told that he's expected to go, and many are saying that if he crosses paths with Vince McMahon, "things could be said". -The Sabu squash was indeed a direct punishment for his recent behavior. It's said that many believe that he'll straighten up now. -TBS, as we already know, is the guy saying that he wants to take time off. From what he says, he's in a lot of pain right now because of his back. He'll more than likely take time off after the December PPV and then return around Rumble time to then build towards WM. -In regards to Kurt Angle saying that he's been getting calls from a lot of WWE guys, some top major names, about wanting to make the jump to TNA, there is indeed truth to all of that and it isn't just Angle bullshitting. There are a lot of semi-main eventers and former main everters who are seriously looking in jumping as soon as their WWE contracts are up. People are tired of the "WWE grind", and they see that they can jump to TNA, and make a little less money, but work a hell of a lot less. -Two of the names that are going around about wanting to jump to TNA are Rey Mysterio and Chris Benoit. -To make it clearer, you wont see guys like John Cena, Taker, HHH, or any of those guys jump. The guys that are thinking about it are those who are on the verge of moving to the main event, or have been there and quite possibly wont get there again, not to mention guys who have a lot of mileage on their bodies, and they'd like a lighter schedule, but still want to work.
  19. I just started listening to that hotline, so I'll post it all soon.
  20. I don't know if this has been posted yet, but what the hell. From PWInsider: -The reason for Sabu being squashed by Umaga on ECW is because there is a ton of heat on him. He's been getting to shows late, and at a recent event he fell asleep backstage and management looked at that as him being disrespectful to the other workers.
  21. I'm not a huge Joe mark and I'm not a TNA apologist. I'm still a pretty new TNA fan, I've only watched on and off since they started up. I'm just trying to explain what I believe TNA is going for with this, just based on what I've seen from everything so far. Like I said, the point is that Joe beat everyone else, and it finally took (what TNA says over and over again) "the greatest wrestler in the world" to finally beat him. I think that makes Joe sound pretty great, if no one could beat him except for that one guy that they are booking to be the best in the world. Now when Joe does go over Angle, and wins the feud, it makes him look that much better. EDIT: I haven't read the spoilers, so everything I'm saying might already be proven wrong. I'm just going by the feud up to the end of that match on the PPV, and that's all. I know that TNA has fucked things up in the past, and that could happen here as well, if it hasn't happened already in the spoilers.
  22. To me, the streak was to help build up Joe in the end, not to put over someone else. The fact that no one else, no one other than the only Olympic gold medalist in professional wrestling and the man who many consider the best wrestler in the world, could beat Samoa Joe makes Joe look incredibly strong in my opinion. I know that isn't how most of you are looking at it, but that's the point that they're trying to put over. They're trying to say that Kurt Angle And Samoa Joe are the two best wrestlers out there today. They'll even it out when they have Joe beat Angle, more than likely, in their next match. All of this is just about building up Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe, establishing them as the two best guys in the company. The story that I see them building up is that Kurt Angle is, without a doubt, the best wrestler today, and Samoa Joe's goal to beat down Kurt Angle and take that title from him, proving once and for all just how great Joe really is. He's defeated everyone else, now it's on to the top.
  23. Yes, a lot of stupid stuff happened on this show, but at least it was mainly just the booking that was screwed up, and most of the action in the ring was solid, even if short. Here are my thoughts on what I consider the main points: -Chris Daniels vs Chris Sabin The match was fine, and I loved the post-match angle with Lynn. That was really solid stuff and I can't wait to see that develop over time. -Cage vs Styles Again, a fine match but the post-match angle was more important. I'm all for a Styles/Daniels feud with Styles as the heel. As long as they don't stick him with Russo, it should be yet another solid program. -LAX vs AMW This was the first mistake in the booking. I know what they were going for, and the fans were going with it for the most part, but the fans turned on Cornette the very second that he said that he was going to strip LAX of the titles. It was like he flipped a light switch, it was that instant. The fans want to see LAX get what's coming to them, but they don't want to see them get fucked over, and in effect proving the point that LAX has been trying to make all along. The guys at PWInsider said that a great angle would be for AMW to come out on the next Impact and tell Cornette that they don't want him to strip them of the titles, since they want to beat LAX in the middle of the ring. I know that the next few episodes have been taped, so I don't know if they did that or not. -Abyss vs Sting Meh, I don't know what to think of this really. I agree that the ending was bullshit and didn't make a lot of sense, but I'm not totally against it. It all depends on where they go with it, and if it leads to more character development for Sting. I did like the visual of Abyss laid out in the barbwire holding the world title though, and I was happy for him since I've been a fan of his before he became the Abyss character. If this doesn't lead to some huge new deal for Sting, then I'll agree that it's totally bullshit. There's no reason for him to drop the title one month after finally beating JJ for it. -Angle vs Joe This one was just about what I expected in terms of actual match quality. I didn't expect the big classic that so many people were looking for, but I did think we'd get some solid action. I didn't think they would just give us the big time Angle/Joe match their first time out. They're going to let it build up, let the storyline develop, give both guys one win each, then have a third match, more than likely with the world title involved. I don't like how they had Joe tap out though, and I wasn't expecting that at all. I'm fine with Angle beating Joe, I mean come on he is f'n Kurt Angle, and who better to end the streak than him? That said, I think they should have went with the angle where Joe passes out, and just refuses to give up. He'd still get the loss and Angle would still pick up the win, but it would be done in a way where it doesn't really hurt either guy, and would build that much more for their second match. Anyway, it wasn't a horrible show, but it wasn't really the show that they have been building up to. I don't think this is going to hurt them, but it sure didn't help them as they were hoping for.
  24. I think Cena/Sabu was on RAW. And holy shit at having Umaga just totally fucking squash Sabu...
