Actually, we'd settle for deporting all of the blithering morons to Europe, so we can laugh at them from afar. -=Mike The fact that there are so many people like him, Mike, makes me question Darwin's whole theory about how natural selection is meant to weed out the weak I'm not sure if you guys noticed, but "Public Account" seems to be pretty much a trolling gimmick poster, so he may have just said that to get a response out of you.

If people want to penalize UO for having a tough time against Texas A&M, then they should be willing to do the same to USC for playing so tight against a crappy Oregon State team. Personally, I think a case could be made to have Auburn at #1 if they win out. Also, Wisconsin should move ahead of Cal in the rankings, after they killed Minnesota while Cal could barely beat Oregon.

http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/a...se/senate_keyes I've got nothing to add, just figure everyone could use a laugh.

You shouldn't be allowed to marry multiple women in the government sense of marriage because it makes no sense to apply divorce, next of kin laws, etc. to that situation. Do you give 50% to each one who divorces you? If you want to live with a half dozen women and call them all your wives, I have no problem with that. And if some church in Utah wants to give you a ceremony for each one, they can do that to. But you can only have one government marriage at a time barring a total re-write of the laws.

Since the WWE is on a firing spree...
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to JoeDirt's topic in The WWE Folder
Why do people want to fire the Coach? He's arguably one of the most over heels on the show. Come to think of it, isn't kind of sad that Coache's slow-burn feud with the Rock is one of the most well-built up ones the WWE has done lately? They could put it on PPV and it would probably draw more than JBL at this point. -
Maybe White can go to grad school?

I tend to agree with this. The gay rights movement needs to go for more baby steps the way the civil rights movement did. Forget about marriage for now. Go all-out on national civil unions. Bush himself has said he supports some kind of legal recognition dealing with governmental business such as taxes and the like. So hold him to those words and work towards that as a first goal. The support will be there as long as you arn't saying marriage, and the only ones who are calling it that are the bigots and homophobes against it. Once you've got that, then start looking at changing things in the future. But don't throw a mail mary on 2nd and 8 when a couple of 4 yard plunges will get you a 1st down with plenty of time on the clock.
-
If that's true, then all marriage, by definition, is unconstitutional. You're a moron. If its unconsitutional than so is having a circumcision for religious reasons. Anything that is done for religious reasons is not unconstiutional. He obviously means the government sanctioning of marriage. Thanfully, at least no one on this board has broken out the "gays will start to sue churches to demand weddings" argument I've had to endure elsewhere.

He still won't get 2/3rds of the Senate. Most of the spots that the Dems lost tot he Reps were held by "Dixiecrat" senators like Miller who are just as likely to vote in favour of such an ammendment as the Republicans replacing them. If this ended up in the Senate I'd expect most of the Dems to vote against it and probably some of the Reps too.

As an Oregon resident I can fully atest to this, reading it was pretty hilarious.

I'm so fucking glad that Florida doesn't mean shit right now.

As long as Bush doesn't bring back the draft I don't think I'm going to have much of a problem with another Bush term. I'd like to see the spending cut down though. And in the event that he does, I hope people that said it would never happen will be willing to admit they were wrong. I certainly hope it won't come to that.

How much HP does Kerry's Lay On Hands heal, and how many times per day can he use it?
-
I'm hoping that whatever way this breaks, Florida doesn't mean shit by the end of the night and everyone there can go fuck themselves.

He wouldn't because he doesn't have enough experience, there's no way he would have won the primaries. I think he WILL be the candidate by 2012 or 2016 though.

Are we allowed to wish death on other posters?

Considering people get banned for stuff in Hardcore Discussion more than any other board on the forum (figure that one out) it's actually not all that stupid a thing to do. -
Like what? Seriously, the worst thing so far about living in the States is I haven't been able to find Vector ANYWHERE.

Michael Moore and Anne Coulter should fight in a celebrity boxing match on election night. It would be like The Fridge vs. Manute Bol part two, only Moore is fatter than Perry and Coulter is skinnier than Bol...I'm not sure which one of those factoids is the more disgusting one.

HHH:"I have a plan for Raw-uhhhhh.........BURY JERICHO AGAIN-UHHHHH AND LET EVOLUTION-UHHHHH CONTINUE TO DOMINATE RAW-UHHHH! Orton-uhhhh, you and I will have a LONG feud-uhhhh, ending at Wrestlemania-uhhhhhh!" (Evolution beats up HBK, Benoit and Benjamin) HBK: I will not stop until Evolution is brought to justice. (2 weeks later) HBK: I believe that The Undertaker is a threat to me and my coalition. Grisham: What about Evolution? HBK: I don't see them as a credible threat Grisham: But he's on Smackdown HBK: I'll go to Smackdown (HBK arrives on Smackdown, defeats Undertaker and retires him before Evolution appears and make another threat) HBK: They need to be stopped Awesome post.

This is total garbage. The Heisman is supposed to go to the most outstanding player in college football, not the most oustanding senior. It's not a lifetime acheivement award. Peterson is way ahead of everyone at this point, in my opinion, and if he wins the Heisman 4 times in his career then good for him. I don't see enough separation in the quarterback class to justify picking any of them (White, Rodgers, Smith, Leinart) over Peterson.

With Wisconsin's creampuff schedule due to the sudden crappiness of everyone else in the Big 10 not named Michigan, I can't feel sad for them at all if they miss the championship game squeaking out an undefeated season against scrub teams, while Cal's one loss is to the number one ranked team, at the last second. They really need a rule adjustment saying that conference winners only get an automatic slot if they finish in the top 10 of the rankings.
-
As a Wolvies fan I can say that I'm fairly excited with Michigan's potential in the next couple of years, with Henne and Hart both freshmen right now. I'm really hoping Wisconsin loses so we can get into the Rose Bowl, or failing that a bunch of other teams losing, especially Utah, so we pick up an at-large bid.
-
As a Big Ten fan I have to say that the conference is fairly weak this year, and the fact that the only two good teams won't play hurts its credibility. Personally, I think that conferences should be allowed to hold a championship game even if they regularly don't do so, in the event that two teams go undefeated in the conference, to prevent situations like this from happening. But really, Purdue and Minnesota have been exposed as mediocre squads after receiving a lot of hype, while Ohio State has done nothing all season. I'm really hoping a few other teams lose because I'd love to see Michigan get to a BCS game, but unlike other fans I won't be crying if they don't. The formula to get a big game is pretty simple in my opinion: don't lose, and especially don't lose inside your conference.
-
The way things are going in these threads, I'd be willing to bet by the end of the year some will be pushing for a 1-loss SEC team in the championship game en lieu of an undefeated Oklahoma. And I also await hearing about how Wisconsin and/or Utah should be in the top game instead of the Sooners. Personally, I'm hoping someone finally beats USC (just like how Ohio State got dropped last year after squeeking out many wins at the last second) and Auburn plays Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl. After that game there really would be nothing left to say.
