Latest rumors have Heath Herring vs. Dan Bobish as another superfight. For those that don't know, Bobish is pretty damn big, 290 lbs. I believe. I still think Heath has enough experience to put him away. -

Hey, yall nominated them. Maybe not you specifically, but I'm not gonna put movies like Kairo that nobody's even heard of so it can can get squashed in the first round. And what the hell is Kairo anyway, a Japanese movie? It's hasn't even been reviewed on esplatter.com yet, what's up with that? -
If Kanell got hurt, then Rod Smith would QB. At least they got Jarius Jackson as Kanell's backup now.

If you think the choices are tough so far, wait til next round! -
In order to make the tournament go faster, I've decided that in cases of voting stagnation, I will go ahead and start the next round. An aside I forgot to mention in the first post: All ties will be decided by Internet Movie Database Score. Second Round Matches: Alien vs. Dead Alive Rosemary's Baby vs. An American Werewolf in London Friday the 13th (choice) vs. Army of Darkness Suspiria vs. Black Christmas Blair Witch Project vs. The Omen Night of the Living Dead (1968) vs. Fright Night Psycho (1960) vs. The Fly (1986) Dawn of the Dead vs. Child's Play The Exorcist vs. Creepshow Evil Dead vs. Lost Boys Evil Dead 2 vs. Return of the Living Dead Halloween (choice) vs. Carrie Nightmare on Elm Street (choice) vs. The Thing Texas Chainsaw Massacre vs. Day of the Dead Scream vs. From Dusk Til Dawn The Shining vs. Phantasm Happy voting!

Okay, this is it, no bullshit, finally...
AboveAverage484 replied to AboveAverage484's topic in Television & Film
I thought of that myself, but then when you look at the Evil Dead films they are really seperate entities unto themselves. The big three franchises were what I thought needed to get the choice tag since they have a combined 25(!) btw the three. -
Thanks to Mole for telling me he would bear the burden of the tournament. My schedule's cleared up now so I'm back at work! Thanks to all those who nominated movies, after Mole made the announcement for more movies, I got flooded with nominations! I hope this is a little more to your tastes, but first the rules, blah, blah, blah... 1. Vote once 2. Try to vote on all selections (I know some of the movies nominated were pretty obscure) 3. Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Friday the 13th are special case nominations. When voting, pretend your favorite movie from each series is the one nominated; for instance, I see Friday the 13th, but I like Part 6 so I would vote as if Part 6 was the nominee, get it? 4. Voting ends in one week, screw it if Halloween is already over before the tourney ends. 5. Have fun, I worked hard to improve the tourney from the last one so you guys could have fun voting on your favorite splatter movies. Alien vs. Dog Soldiers An American Werewolf in London vs. Night of the Living Dead (1990) Army of Darkness vs. Serpent and the Rainbow Black Christmas vs. Demons Blair Witch Project vs. The Beyond Candyman vs. Fright Night Cemetary Man vs. The Fly (1986) Child's Play vs. In the Mouth of Madness Creepshow vs. Zombie Dawn of the Dead vs. Silver Bullet Dead Alive vs. The Wicker Man Evil Dead vs. Amityville Horror Evil Dead 2 vs. It's Alive! The Exorcist vs. Misery Friday the 13th (choice) vs. Puppet Master Halloween (choice) vs. Silent Night, Deadly Night Hills Have Eyes vs. The Thing Lost Boys vs. The Howling Near Dark vs. Day of the Dead Night of the Living Dead (1968) vs. April Fools Day (hey, blame Zach Malibu) Nightmare on Elm Street (choice) vs. Lair of the White Worm The Omen vs. Bride of Chucky Pet Sematary vs. From Dusk Til Dawn Phantasm vs. The Fog Psycho(1960) vs. Psycho 2 Re-Animator vs. Carrie Return of the Living Dead vs. When a Stranger Calls Rosemary's Baby vs. Nosferatu: The Vampyre (1979) Scream vs. Event Horizon The Shining vs. Bram Stoker's Dracula Suspiria vs. Last House on the Left Texas Chainsaw Massacre vs. From Beyond

Elitist is the word your looking for. There are a lot of assholes on sherdog, but there are some cool guys. As long as you post intelligent comments and don't troll, then you won't catch much flak.

http://www.platinumromance.com/freetrial2/...ite=1037-1079-b The girl in this picture (second down on left) bears a striking resemblance to Stacy Kiebler. Is Stacy a member of a platinum romance club? Funny thing is, it says "actual members" under the pics!

Read this: http://news.adcombat.com/article.html?id=5140 Or this: http://www.kakuto.com/ Or how about this: http://www.mmaweekly.com/ Wow, Cro Cop vs. Nogueira for the interim belt. I hope Fedor recovers quickly. I don't think Fedor is ducking Cro Cop either, unlike some people on the Sherdog forum. Injuries happen to fighters and unfortunately, this one happened before a title fight.

Wow! Flair/Steamboat from Clash with DVD quality! Can't wait!

The outro to "Layla."

Speaking of irrelevant, did anyone else think of Shockwave from Transformers when they read this? *Looks around, and sees nobody else in thread. Quietly leaves.* BTW, I'm not one to carry a grudge, so consider the hatch buried between me and Marney/Jobber as far as I'm concerned. (Yes, the threat of being banned had a little to do with as well, so go ahead and call me a pussy.)
-
It's finished, Doc. Note: I have a vague idea of what facetious means, I just wanted to sound smart by using it.
-
I edited the graphic part, which I readily admit, was goinga little too far. Speak for yourself, I'm not the one degrading a man's own personal beliefs, and ones that he feels very strongly about at that. From what I've seen, SpiderPoet has been less inflammatory towards your opinions than you have to his. 47 Union generals were killed in action compared to 77 on the Confederate side.
-
Hey, we can take this to NHB, no problem. And bring your buddy JobberoftheWeek, who you're probably fucking on the side, with you. Hey, I've got a whole day before K-1 comes on, so fucking with a couple of asshole, proverbial anti-Christ keyboard warriors can burn some time before then. I can see this thread is close to closure. Odds of getting killed in the Civil War if you served in a combat-ready unit in the Union Army: 1:42.7
-
Hey, Cancer Marney. Shut the Fuck Up! SpiderPoet seems like a decent enough guy around the board, so get off his fucking nuts about something he believes in you facetious bitch. I think if I worked with you or went to school with you, you would have been bitch-slapped by me by now. States with most Civil War battles: 1. Virginia: 2,154 2. Tennessee: 1,462 3. Missouri: 1,162 4. Mississippi: 772 5. Arkansas: 771 I think I should make it a point to include a Civil War fact in all my posts.
-
The top five bloodies Civil War battles: Gettysburg, PA - 51,112 Chickamauga, GA - 34,624 Chancellorsville, VA - 30,099 Antietam, MD - 26,134 The Wilderness, VA - 25,416
-
Uhhhh... Antietam was the bloodiest single day of the war. The Union suffered 12,410 casualties (2,108 killed outright), while the Confederacy suffered 13,724 casualties (2,700 killed outright). Popular myth about this battle: 25,000 Americans were killed in this battle. About 4,800 were killed the day of Sept. 17, the date of the battle, while more died later on from their wounds, but in no way shape or form did almost 25,000 soldiers die that day. Don't let your instructors tell you otherwise

I haven't heard anything about it, til now. I plan on picking it up mos def, though.
