I don't have sleep apnoea, but I do have sinus problems. I have a deviated septum in my right nostril that restricts the amount of air that I can breath through my nose, so the stuff you described could only help part of the problem. I've considered surgery, but I've heard from some people that you're almost worse off getting it. Right now I just gotta deal with it, as much of a pain as it can be.

I don't know, that fight has real potential to be a snooze fest. Now Leben and Sakara, that's a fight that will probably get shown because it will probably be toe to toe for the whole two minutes that it lasts. -
If anything, I always thought Webber was underrated. It's a CRIME that Josh Smith didn't make the All-Star team. I'd say without hyperbole, that he's probably one of the top ten all-around players in the game, though Rip probably thinks that's stating the obvious.

My boys at UNCA are putting a whooping on Winthrop by about 20 points with 10 minutes left to play. They should be 7-0 after this game and if all goes well, the favorites to win the conference tourney and advance to the big dance!

That's better than some of the main cards we've gotten lately. -

I never thought Anderson would lose to Leben myself, but he really didn't given me any reason to consider him an "elite MW" until he destroyed Franklin the first time. I've always respected Silva's stand up, I consider him top five pound for pound in the MMA world. Speaking of sig bets, wanna make one on this fight, Carlito? It's more than a month away, so we have time to think of stips... -

Oh, if Dan wins it probably won't be via a finish, I'm in agreement with you there. Dan "never" finishes, Silva almost always does, Dan never gets KO'd, Silva gets most of his wins that way. I'm really, really interested in this fight, maybe more so than Chuck/Silva because we pretty much got what we were expecting there. -

Marquardt (I assume this is who you mean) isn't the same kind of fighter as Dan. Dan has this "fighting for his life" mentality that he brings into every fight, sometimes it serves him well and sometimes it doesn't but I can say that I honestly haven't seen Dan "lay down" in a fight like Nate did against Silva. -

Like I said before, it's not submissions Hendo has to worry about, it's upkicks and scrambles back to the feet. Anderson's takedown defense means jackshit, and people still don't get it. He can also finish the fight off his back. Lutter's (?) the only one I can remember that he finished off of his back. Henderson doesn't have the greatest ground control for being a wrestler, but I don't think he has anything to fear from Silva scrambling. If Henderson does well enough on his feet and gets the take downs and sprinkles the ground and pound in, he should be able to grind out a decision victory. This actually wouldn't be a bad fight to put money on, at least IMO. I think people have seen so much of Silva's strengths on display recently, I think they are forgetting the few weaknesses he has, ones which I think Dan can exploit to his advantage in the fight. -
Cranda, aren't you from Mocksville? You've been to the Asheboro zoo, right? Great facilities and exhibits, IMO.

I usually try to eat right for the whole week, while reserving Fridays for junk. Not to say that I pig out, because that would be counterproductive to my entire week's worth of eating good, but I'll usually eat some fast food and a coke and it really won't have any adverse effect on me. However, for those with less control over their eating habits, it would probably be best to just avoid the junk altogether. Don't forget the oft-forgotten third member of the "big three (first two being diet and exercise)," sleep. If you get a good night's sleep every night, you'll have better workouts and generally feel better during the day. I know it sounds obvious, and I know it's tough for a lot of people to get 7-8 hrs of sleep a night, but if you're serious about this, it's something that needs to be addressed. Not really anything to do with low-carb dieting, but just thought I'd throw a little bit of advice in here.

It's not like Silva's take down defense is the greatest in the world, though. Henderson will probably stand and bang and try to connect with a big shot, after which he'll probably shoot in for the take down. -

I don't know, Dan is VERY hard to finish, and he's fought guys just as good as Silva in the past without being stopped, with the exception of the Nogueira brothers, whose sub skills Silva can't even touch. Plus to my knowledge, Dan has never even been cut, let alone had a fight stopped by one. -

There's a reason he's called decision Dan. I think he'll stand with Silva until he feels the need to take him down, after which he'll just work position the rest of the fight. Silva's a pretty decent grappler but Dan's always had good defense against subs. Dan by decision, I think. Personally think it's a bad match up for Silva. -
This thread has been surprisingly entertaining. I thoroughly enjoy going to the zoo, though I haven't been since a field trip in seventh grade. A guidance counselor at my school did tell a story about a dude that used to go to school with me until he dropped out. Anyways, he ended up with a job at the zoo but got fired for lighting it up with some gibbons. Apparently he thought it would be funny, which I guess it kind of is but the counselor said one of the gibbons would show up at the same part of the pen everyday waiting on good old J.T. to show up and burn one with him. I've never really questioned the validity of this story, I do, however, have some reservations about whether or not a gibbon would inhale a joint if it was placed in his mouth.

Well I graduated from UNCA in '06 and I remember he didn't get much PT at the time because he was really bit by the injury bug for a couple of seasons, IIRC. It's obvious that when you're that big, carrying that much weight on your hips and knees can cause a lot of stress. I guess there is a possibility someone in the league would take a chance on him, but he can't run the floor so he would have a much harder time keeping up in the NBA, though he didn't do too bad against a run team like Carolina. I don't know, I think there are a lot more questions about him than answers, we'll see how he finishes out the year. On a similar note, yes this dude is that big, but he doesn't attract as much attention as you'd think. Really quiet and laid back, ALWAYS had some headphones on; if he wasn't 7 foot freaking 7, that would probably be his trademark, "that dude who always has the headphones on."

Don't know if you need "allegedly" in front of Tinsley, I seem to remember him wielding a dustpan (admittedly the most comedic scene from that night) in the infamous brawl in Detroit.

Some of the voting results on the official website seemed even more puzzling than usual. I can understand Yi, Bargnani, Scola, etc. because of the foreign contingent, but Jerry Stackhouse in the top ten?

I think Marge's line leading into that makes it even funnier. After Bart says the new school unis suck, she asks him where he hears such language then Homer says the above.

I just distance search the closest Hooters if I'm out of town and ask them. Usually if you are in a decent sized city, they are showing it.

Somebody actually had the balls to offer me Ben Wallace for Jason Kidd in my fantasy league.
-
Yeah, I had to quadruple take when I saw that score. He only averages what, 10 a game? I was just as surprised to see that he average that many points. I thought he was already out of the league. I remember last year he was a decent fantasy acquisition for me towards the end of the year, so he's not a total stranger.

Yeah, I was gonna say that Eli probably makes enough money to be able to purchase the DVD seasons.
